Not awful, but I wouldn't stay there again.

This hotel would be easy to walk past without noticing. It is in a commercial area with busy, poorly maintained, crowded sidewalks. It is located about half way between 2 subway stops making somewhat inconvenient to either if you have bags.
Less than five minutes after I got to my room I received a phone call from the front desk saying they had put me in the wrong room and that I had to move to a room without a window. When booking my reservation I had noticed that Economy rooms had no windows, but from all indications Superior rooms did. I showed them my confirmation, but they still insisted I had only paid for the very small windowless room. Arguing the point was difficult since there was only one staff person who (barely) spoke any English and I do not speak Chinese. After taking a look at the musty smelling, windowless room, I decided to insist on staying in the room I had first been assigned. Eventually, they relented.
There was nothing superior about the "Superior room" other than it had a window. The floors and walls were old, but at the price I was paying, I wasn't really expecting much. The air-conditioner worked (once I figured out the remote control for it). The bathroom was reasonably clean and I saw no sign of bugs. My room was fairly quiet. Having now stayed in 5 fairly inexpensive Bejing area hotels, this was my least favorite.
