“Overall pleasant hotel”
After much research my boyfriend and I settled on this hotel and as mentioned above it was a pleasant stay and good value for money. I think the location was good, probably 10 minute walk from the sea front but far enough away from the evening noise. If you want to be close to the Portaventura Theme Park but don't want to stay in the hotel in the teme park complex becasue of screaming kids, this hotel would be ideal as it's close enough to walk (10-15 minutes). The pool and the surrounding outside area was very nice, very clean and well maintained and probably the hotel's best feature. Unfortunately we had cooler than normal weather so it was much too cold to go in! Some cons: hotel food was really not good. We suspected as much from previous reviews so only opted for B&B - breakfast was buffet based, plenty of selection but poor quality, hot selections left out too long and went cold, not much healthy options, alot of greasy and sugary foods. Be aware of guests who 'reserve' their sunloungers to get the best spots very early in the morning and then go back to bed or go for breakfast; even though there is a huge sign saying it is not allowed the staff don't pay much attention to people who do it. The only reason it didn't irritate us too much was because the mornings were very cool so it didn't get too busy, but I can imagine in high season with hot weather it can cause problems. The maid also barged in on occasion, so lock your door.
“Very good apart from the food and thin walls...”
As title. Thin walls so was woken in the morning by neighbours and cleaning ladies. Other than that, room and bathroom was comfortable, nice balcony. Food is not 4 star, and would get sickeningly and nauseatingly repetitive after 3/4 days... Other than that, nice pool area, great positioning for both Port Aventura and town
“Great Hotel for families but best to go B&B.”
Great hotel for families wanting to enjoy Salou. Close to the theme park, supermarket and the beach, it is a perfect choice. My advice would be to book B&B as the evening meal needs to be improved. It is buffet style but the food can be cold and not to everyone's taste. I would stay again with no hesitation.
“Easter 2012 Visit to H10 Salauris Hotel”
The hotel is nice, well kept and well placed to visit Port Aventura. However, I could have done without being placed in a room over the kitchens, where some noise was keeping me awake and I had to purchase ear plugs. You could also hear the occupants of the rooms next to you. I ate in the hotel for one night, although the food was plentiful it did look as if it had been thrown together (this may have been because it was Easter and the hotel was extremely busy). On the other hand the breakfasts were delicious and the choice was amazing. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi is nice, but you do have to use a swim cap so it would be nice if you were actually told this prior to visiting the hotel. The roof top jacuzzi is nice and could be fantastic on a warm day.
