Pink villa with private pool
Geplaatst op 21 sep. 2017Ons verblijf in Hacienda was heel fijn! Mooie, grote villa. Groot zwembad in nog grotere tuin met veel privacy. Ook de locatie is goed, vlakbij het strand.
Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en de service goed! Het ontbijt was niet spectaculair, daarom veel naar zee gelopen en daar ontbeten en gedineerd.

Super helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay a great one! Villas need some TLC and need updating but overall very private and relaxing! Good location but suggest a scooter to get around.

Spacious and good value!
Geplaatst op 7 jun. 2019 op HotelsThis property was excellent. The villa was spacious and was good bang for the money. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was served in your villa each morning and was very good. You are literally a 5 minute walk to the beach and another few minutes over a walkway puts you on Echo beach and in the middle of the surfing scene. These are not swimming beaches but are beautiful to view. Nearby, you have several eating options within a 5 minute walk. Premier is OK for a fair variety. The nearby Pizza+Beer=Love has excellent wood oven pizza, calzone and good pasta dishes at a reasonable price. A gem down a nearby ally way was Taco Swell. Jeff (from Michigan) served up homemade salsa, great nachos and some pulled pork tacos that were wonderful. The Mexican menu is limited but extremely satisfying and the conversation very entertaining- we would highly recommend. There are also a couple of warungs within a 10 minute walk that we were told were good but did not have a chance to eat at. We wish that we had booked a couple of more days here. It was a nice, relaxed spot very near the beach and but a definite scooter or taxi ride to much action/nightlife (which we liked). To be fair, there is a bunch of construction currently going on between this property and the beach ( about 7 new buildings going up right now). So, the vibe may change some in the near future since the sprawl seems to be reaching out to this area now. However, it was great for us on this trip.

Such beautiful villas, really nice staff. Would recommend to hire a scooter while there as we were using cars to get around - turns out the villa is on a long street that’s actually a bit further out from Canggu central than The website implies (you have to go around long roads) but a nice place for dinner next door and plenty of bars along the beach which is walking distance. Pool was SOOO GOOD!! All day sunshine. Only qualm was the aircon wasn’t too great at night and due to the thatch roof opening to the bathroom the geckos/frogs etc outside were load during the night. But we got used to it relatively quick. And we had some wifi issues.
Great staff and were able to sort in room massages for us, transport, airport pick up etc for us. Lovely stay and would recommend to all!

Great space but in need of some loving care
Geplaatst op 25 mei 2019 op HotelsGiving a 3.5 rating . The entire unit needed a good cleaning, maybe a fresh coat of paint and replace toilet seats . I would definitely rate villa higher . The toilet seats were literally grey and black from how old they were

Villa 5 is amazing, but wifi and aircon are weak! Breakfast is soooo basic, tastes instant. No food in the villa at all, only the provided breakfast. Staff didnt offer help to buy food outside for us. There is a nearby restaurant but it’s Western. Loved swimming at night while chatting with friends. Master’s room’s bathtub is so nice and romantic for couples.

Good location perhaps 800 metres to beach and with lots of eateries around. Hotel is tired with several areas of deferred maintenance. This is offset by spacious villas with open living room design and lovely private pool that we very much enjoyed. My partner wished for better aircon in the bedroom, I found the temperature ok, probably around 23 degrees. There are many things that could be done to improve the condition of these villas without throwing dollars at them. Some additional cleaning of the walls, some sanding and painting, tightening of fixtures, replacement of broken fixtures, lots of little things. As is usual in Bali housekeeping was haphazard with towels being taken and not replaced one day and tea not being restocked. No real sugar provided at all, just artificial sweetener. Small things but if you want 4 stars these things are important. The breakfast was small and not very nice. We had it the first two days and chose to eat elsewhere for the last three days. Even though this was included in our room rate no one cared that we were obviously unhappy with the food. Staff were always friendly but I feel they were doing the bare minimum. However when you factor in the nightly rate you have to accept it won’t be perfect. I’d call it three stars. The area is up and coming with a lot of construction going on. We are looking forward to revisiting Canggu in two years time.

Beautiful villa in rural surroundings

Voordelen: Beautiful surroundings, spacious villa with all necessary items and beautiful decor.
Nadelen: Have to get used to the fact that the villas are open to the elements - no walls except for bedroom. Bathroom and living room open to the garden.
Locatie: They are set in a rural area. It is possible to walk to Canggu along the beach but difficult
in the dark. Need to get taxis or hire car.
These are a set of five villas with pools near Canggu. They are spacious with beautiful decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful and offer a taxi service. It really is a bit of luxury. The breakfast is good but does not vary so a little repetitive. We were joined by some lovely cats! Be prepared to hire a car/bike or get taxis as the local restaurants are pretty empty. You can reach the centre of Canggu along the beach but you have to cross a couple of streams. They seem to be building a bridge so this should be easier soon. It is not really possible to walk back by road or beach easily in the dark. I would get there soon before the area becomes more built up.
