Amis apts are one street recessed back from main road. Makes for quieter stay. Gated parking, windows open for fresh air.'

'Residences Alizees Spa is an apartment-hotel. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and the proprietor complained about not receiving payment from the owner of the apartment prior to our arrival. He also disputed whether our reservation should be honored. We contracted through Cheaptickets to pay when we arrived. 'We stayed at West Island by Horizon Holiday. Robby was friendly and welcomed us warmly. Unfortunately, one of the rooms had a strong sewage smell that spread into the living room. Despite attempts to fix it, the smell remained, so we couldn’t use that room and had to share the remaining two. This negatively affected our overall experience. Robby was kind and helped us arrange for a chef to cook for us one evening - and he tried to fix the smell, though it could not be resolved. Perfect...

'1 negative point: the tilt windows do not close properly, so that odors of food preparations from other studios seep in. Positive: excellent cleaning team who perform their work every 2 days. I also got a gecko as a pet for free :o) Overall: value for money.'

Overall, the hotel is in need of proper maintenance and care. The pool area is in poor condition, with broken mosaic tiles, and the pool was closed during our last four days. Water quality was inconsistent, sometimes appearing brown. During our stay, sewage drainage work was carried out without prior notice, and the smell...
