'The property is in a very good location with lots of different amenities nearby. It’s walking distance from the harbour. The kitchen is well equipped. Room is spacious and comfortable with dark blinds for the summer days. Only thing I’d change is to add a washer dryer and provide more affordable parking for guests.'

'Hotel just in center of Reykjavik, comfortable proper rooms. Luxury bathroom. Lots of restaurants on walking distance (5-15 min). Good breakfast. One disadvantage: there is no parking facility. We paid €80 each night in the nearby parking garage (advised / proposed by the hotel reception desk), that's an expensive parking.'

'Simply a great stay, friendly staff, clean and warm look and feel, comfortable room and bed. Great shower, large screen TV. climate control worked flawlessly (quite and no wind turbine feeling). Tried the spa, nothing but good. '

'Hotel is very good, very well maintained, nice rooms. Two downsides: You have to use the elevator, there are no stairs, except dor emergencies. At night it is very loud from outside with partying people. If you sleep with open windows, you have a challenge to fall asleep. '

'The property was exactly as advertised and our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The location was great with it being easy to walk to any of the big tourists spots and there was parking. We reached out to the owners several times and they were amazing! The only item of not is the property is on a Main Street in a city across from a bus stop so there is some road noise but that is to be expected.'

'Loved the location, the building was very clean inside and out. Lacking basic room amenities. No TV, radio, or anything anywhere in the building. Power outlets in weird locations. Wasn’t pleased that we couldn’t even enter the building until check in time, that definitely needs to be looked at for future customers with luggage. '

'It was a great location for us. Easy parking. Close to shops and stores. I wish the kitchen had a frying pan for eggs. Also, a broom would have been handy.'

Upon check-in, we got a room in the basement, under the bar and lobby area, which got me worried about potential noise problems. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available, but the staff approached me later with a spontaneous offer for a complementary breakfast. And the room location turned out to not be a problem. 'After parking in the Kolaport bílahús it was a short 5 minute walk to the hotel while looking at the boats in the harbour. The hotel has a bakery right at the entrance so we had to wait for people to move aside in the queue to walk past and get to the reception. Honestly this is the only remotely negative thing there is to say. The reception is very friendly, the interior is wonderful and it feels very safe as you need to use your keycard to access the floor. The room was spaceous, the beds...

'Place was spotless. Very close to all the fun stuff and walking distance from the bus station. They gave us a great deal too, seven nights for the price of five, let us check in early and it was a full apartment with real stove fridge and dishwasher. Had a washer dryer in bathroom which saved us because airline lost my luggage. Great experience. In fact, when we go back we will Try to stay there again.'
