“comfortable and friendly”

I liked the hotel a lot: friendly polite owners, very nice breakfast and convenient location. The only problem was pretty cold bathroom so i had to keep the door there open all the time. Room was nice and clean and quite. I definitely recommend it!

The value is good. The breakfast is not so good but with the overall value was excellent.

“Needs updating”

This hotel was obviously built in the 50's or 60's and much of it is in need of updating. That said, it was pleasant enough. The restaurant was very good, but it would have been nice to have a complete breakfast available. The wireless internet access is free, but it is only available in certain rooms (ask) or in the lobby.

“Not the best, not the worst”

Overall, it was clean and comfortable, with friendly and accomodating staff. However, if you like ammenities, it was rather skimpy: there was one bar of soap in our room for the shower, we had to ask the desk for a second bar for the vanity sink to wash our hands! And one TINY shampoo and lotion for two people? Nothing else? Continental breakfast also skimpy: not an apple, orange or banana in sight. Not a pastry or muffin either. If you like English muffins, Lender's packaged bagels and dry cereal, you're in luck. There's a waffle maker, too, if you're inclined to do that, and some kind of sugary goo in a squirt bottle for syrup. Was it worth what we paid per night? Nope. But prices in this touristy area tend to run high, so that probably inflated it. If I couldn't find a less expensive place to stay when in the area, I'd stay there again because overall, it was clean and comfortable and friendly.

“Would not stay again”

The hotel room was dark and dreary. The bathroom ceiling was stained. The toilet was not seated right on the floor and it did not work porperly. The coffee was terrible and they kept running out of it. The food was not that great either.

The toilet was not clean, and the hotel in general is not well kept.

“When all else fails...”

A "budget" motel in every sense except price. Location is covenient for weekends around Stockbridge and/or Tanglewood, and there is often availability when all else is taken..
