'I am very disappointed with my stay at this Hampton location. I have stayed at Hampton hotels before and have always had good experiences, which is why this stay was so surprising. 'The room was in a popular and beautiful location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful upon check in and any time I needed anything. The continental breakfast was better than I expected. However... The hotel itself is VERY outdated, the toiletries and bedding were worn out and terrible quality. For example, the towels were very rough and one had a tan stain on it. 'More family friendly'

'We had a room on the 8th floor which was spacious and clean. We did have some airco noise and weird knocking noise from the elevator shaft (we think) which was annoying at night. Pool was nice and location was good for watersports and running. Restaurant has great staff but menu is limited. The gym was crowded in the morning but really quiet in afternoon.'

'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'

'We had a room facing the freeway. The room has very thin windows so it was very noisy. Also the air conditioner was so loud that we needed to turn it off to be able to sleep. Breakfast was ok but not much variety. The rooms were clean though. Parking is paying (24 dollars a night) but you can park in the street in front of the hotel for free. '

'Check in and the room was great. Parking was expensive at $24.00 per night. The beds & pillows were lacking. Not comfy at all. Staff & breakfast were also very good. '

'The room was tidy when arrived but learned that rooms are only turned over every other day. Which was fine in the end because all we really needed was towels. The rooms were renovated and my only complaint is that the sinks were made so tall. My child and mother who are barely 5ft tall had issues washing their faces and had to tip toe just to be able to rinse their mouths while brushing their teeth. That said, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub and we are glad that they were well maintained.'

'I made this reservation because our flight out of San Diego was being cancelled. Within 2 hours I attempted to cancel this reservation because the Airline put us in a hotel. The Hotel said I had to go through Expedia, Expedia said I had to go through the hotel. Calling the hotel customer service was a terrible experience, you could not hear them and they had no clue or interest in helping me. I basically received an "oh well, sorry. We are keeping your money" . Expedia was also no help. ...
