Nice hotel

The reception staff and valet parking were all very kind and helpful,
Except for the last day, the receptionist Emily was non responsive, unhelpful and very unfriendly. Such a pity.

We liked that there was on site parking and an excellent restaurant connected to the hotel lobby.

All good, though the bartender was a bit rude, so we avoided the bar after one visit.

I know I’m paying for location, but this is one of the most mediocre properties that I’ve stayed in this year. I’m paying a not insignificant amount of money and this hotel has no charm or character whatsoever even though it’s on the historic register. My room is small and the furnishings are unremarkable. Bathroom is also small. Lobby and bar are also rather plain and lacking in character or ambience. For convenience to Georgetown, it’s great but I could get a much nicer place across the bridge in Foggy Bottom.

Staff is unfriendly. Walls are paper thin and you hear everything.

We are sorry you did not find our staff to be friendly. Our walls are made of Plaster. The hotel ws built in 1962. We do not have thin walls. There must have been some very loud guest near your room. I am sorry you had noisy people near you.
