Staff service excellent. However, after forking out for a Premium room I was treated to no cold water (with no bottled water provided either) no working TV and no heating. Being able to hear next door in the toilet was an equal treat. What you would expect from a dodgy budget hotel rather than a supposed 4 star charging a big wedge. I will not stay again.

Dear CI,We were sorry for the issues you experienced, but as communicated via our reception team this was as the result of a regional power interruption - that affected both the local TV transmitter and pumping station.These issues have been widely acknowledged in the local media and were beyond our and not specific to the hotel. Free bottled water was available for all of our guests during this period. Despite being October the temperature in the UK is still unseasonably warm with night time temperatures remaining about 15C and it reaching as high as 24C, there is simply no call for the heating yet. We can only apologies for these interruptions but given the exceptional and abnormal circumstances we do hope to see you again in the future.Kind regards, BHH
