Not a 3 star hotel at all!

Nadelen: I feel I was deceived with Expedia rating and pricing.
Locatie: Located near Taj Mahal
Expedia should not have this hotel listed as a 3 star hotel. Comparable hotels are available at one-fourth of the price. I booked this hotel because I trusted that since listed on Expedia, the hotel must be good. But it wasn't. The room was very small with a bed & two chairs . It was clean, the bed was okay. But furnishings were bare minimum. The floor was cold, the bathroom had the toilet seat and bathing arrangement in the same area - there was no separate shower stall or tub - so the bathroom floor was always wet. The water in the gyser in the bathroom was only lukewarm. Could not get a box of kleenex after asking - staff did not know what was Kleenex or tissues. Two bath towels were provided in each room and they looked very old and raggedy. The hotel staff were trying to give a hard time for the name under which the reservation was done (this was clarified later) and were even going to charge for an extra guest until I showed the paperwork that I have already paid for the extra guest.
We went for breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the morning. Breakfast was not included in the price although normally most Indian hotels with that price range or even one third of the price will include morning tea or breakfast. The restaurant setting was gloomy with dim lights, dirty table cloth and food took long time to come even though it was a buffet. Food was okay.
Expedia should not have this hotel in its list and definitely not at that price and with a rating of 3 star

Pretty good place, in general

Voordelen: Modern and clean.
Nadelen: Fire the chef and get someone who can really cook.
Locatie: Agra is Agra. Look it up.
Nothing wrong with the hotel, but the staff seems poorly trained. They don't seem to know what to do, or who's supposed to do what. Also, the restaurant is inconveniently located in the basement, and the cooks are not very good. How is it possible to make Sikh kabab that is hard to chew, or chicken curry that's nothing but bones? So it's okay to stay there, if you don't eat there.

Geplaatst op 23 feb. 2014 op Hotels1) Breakfast is said to be included, it was on our booking, but was denied by staff. Ten people were just looking at us without being able to make a decision.
2) Bed sheets were not clean.
3) We had booked an extra bed in the room - was not prepared, and ended up just being a thin mattress on the floor.

OK stay close to Taj Mahal
Geplaatst op 18 feb. 2014 op HotelsThe hotel was fine, the staff was welcoming and the room was comfortable and clean except there was a little dirt on the sheets and pillows, but they were very helpful with changing it. They were very sweet with storaging our luggage for several hours after we had checked out and that was nice. The restaurant was OK, with fine food and again very sweet and serviceminded staff, although we kind of lost our appetite, when we saw a rat lying inside the loft-lamp. Overall it was a fine hotel and an OK stay, but we have had better hotels for the same amount of money.

Geplaatst op 27 dec. 2013 op HotelsLocated near taj mahal,infact in walking distance.and restaurant in the hotel provides good tasty food.even nice south indian food was available in near by balaji hotel.the service was good.the only thing which according to me a back log is the condition of the duvet and bed spread they provide...it is better if they could provide us with more cozy ones.. .overall my stay was fine....

9 Star? Not really.
Geplaatst op 25 dec. 2013It calls itself the only 9 Star Hotel in town, however it is not worth even 3. The stuff is more or less friendly and it is close to the westgate of Taj Majal. The bathroom is oldbaken and simple, the room smells, there is no boiler and breakfast is nothing. It is very (very!) noisy, because it lays close to the main road. However it is clean and simple, nothing special. I would recommend it to local people, who can deal the price, but for foreigner it is overrated and you get something better.

Problèmes avec la plomberie et les toilettes
Geplaatst op 8 aug. 2013 op HotelsNous avons du changer plusieurs fois de chambres car il n'y avait pas d'eau dans la salle de bains ni pour les toilettes. De plus, l'hygiène de la salle du petit déjeuner laissait à désirer. Un peu cher pour la prestation offerte.
