Genieten in Ravenala
Mooi resort, veel keuze bij ontbijt; keuze restaurants divers maar je moet bij aankomst meteen reserveren anders ben je te laat. Wel lang wachten op je eten. Service personeel hartelijk en behulpzaam. Kamer schoon. Veel sport mogelijkheden en entertainment.

Prima, wel iets meer van verwacht
Prima hotel. We hebben er met twee gezinnen met jonge kinderen gezeten. Afstand van de kamers tot restaurant en strand/zwembad was wel te ver, we hadden de verste kamers in het resort. Kamers waren goed, alhoewel er links en rechts wel wat onderhoud aan gedaan mag worden. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten van het buffet viel helaas tegen. In de a la carte restaurants was de kwaliteit beter, echter al het echt lekkere viel buiten de all-inclusieve package en dan was het wel direct fors bijlappen. Ruime keus uit drank, voor ieder wat wils! Het WiFi verdient ook wel wat aandacht. Prima op de slaapkamers, echter bij de openbare plekken erg traag of gewoon niet.

Lui personeel. Vooral bij de boathouse
Het meeste personeel doet maar weinig voor je. Ze doen het liefst niets. Vooral bij de boathouse waar je gratis gebruik van verschillende watersporten kan genieten. Het genieten is er helaas zo niet meer bij. Je moet blijven zeuren voor je iets gedaan krijgt. Verder was de prijs kwaliteit verhouding bij dit hotel de weg behoorlijk ver van elkaar vandaan. Wij hadden volpension en je kan dan bij verschillende restaurantjes op het resort gaan eten. Leuk idee, alleen jammer dat je voor heel veel gerechten alsnog moet bijbetalen. Achteraf gerekend was het goedkoper om de restaurantjes gewoon te betalen in plaats van volpension. Verder hadden we een suite van 64m2. Dit klinkt heel tof. Maar het is vooral veel ruimte die je niet gaat gebruiken. Ook zijn we nog wezen duiken. Veel hoop hadden we, maar het komt niet eens in de buurt van onze top 10 mooiste duiken. Alles bij elkaar erg teleurstellend.

Zeer mooi hotel met veel activiteiten voor het strand, zeer flexibel bij aankomst om 10:00 uur konden we gelijk gebruik maken van het ontbijt en kregen een kamer toegewezen terwijl de incheck tijd 14:00 is.

All in all a nice stay. Cleanliness is given in the ressort, yet room showed already some signs of usage - although much space. Food mostly good, but restaurant system is a bit tricky - make sure to reserve tables for several days immediately after arriving.

Cet hotel a besoin d'un rafraichissement mais le confort (taille des chambres et terrasses personnelles, literie), les commodités (piscines, plage, salle de sport terrain de tennis, activités nautiques gratuites proposées sur place, jardins terrasses extérieures), le service et les repas (aux différents restaurants et bars) sont parfaits et d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Nous y avons passés 12 jours et c'était TRES reposant !! Par contre, si vous voulez beaucoup visiter l'île, alors il faudra envisager une location de voiture: les accès bus sont trop éloignés et vous ne pourrez vous déplacer loin qu'en taxi.

Very nice hotel, a lot of helpfull staff, from cleaning to restaurants. Value for the money. Could maybe upgrade the soap/shower gel to get a little more luxury feeling. Also maybe wait with the Big tour around the hotel just after landing. We had been traveling for almost 20 hours, and would appriciate a short nap and shower before being showed around, but the tour itself were good.

A 3 star at best! Ignore the marketing photos
This hotel is marketed as a 4 star hotel with some amazing photos. These were likely taken when it was built and new. I’ve attached photos of our room, it was actually very dirty on close inspection. I had to keep calling Guest Service all week to fix issues. Cockroach in the room, again not the end of the world but not great. We were attacked by stray dogs outside of our room and another guest was bitten. I reported it but it was never followed up. Food is honestly average. On the first day we were told every other restaurant was fully booked at 6.30pm (kids) to their credit, the guest team eventually found us reservations. Strangely these restaurants were always quiet too? A 20 min round trip taxi to the supermarket cost £26. Surprising! As we checked out, I gave the feedback directly and they didn’t really want to talk about it. I also spoke to Hotels.com who were quite unhelpful and just referred me to the hotel. The kids club only had a handful of children in it. The reality is that your kids will just want to play by the pool, so I wouldn’t book this hotel on that basis. You will most likely eat at the buffet for all meals most of the trip. Just bear this in mind as it can get quite repetitive. If you get a good deal, it is probably worth it but I would not be happy paying full price for this hotel expected 4 star quality.

Un hôtel à la hauteur de ses attentes ! L’accueil du personnel a l’arrivée et tout au long du séjour est exceptionnel, d’une gentillesse incroyable. Tout est fait pour s’y sentir bien et passer des vacances de rêves. Les chambres avec un enfant son spacieuses et confortables, tout est adapté pour un enfant le buffet les piscines la plage … l’accès au kidsclub même en dessous de l’âge autorisé accompagné des parents est super ! La localisation est parfaite. Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter. Encore merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel grâce à qui on a passé des vacances inoubliables.

Pendant mes vacances à l'île Maurice, j'ai séjourné au Ravenala Attitude Hotel et j'ai été enchanté par l'établissement. Le personnel attentionné, les piscines, les restaurants, la plage, la chambre avec vue sur la mer, l'accès direct à la plage et les nombreuses activités ont contribué à notre satisfaction. Je tiens particulièrement à saluer Selvyn, le responsable événementiel, qui a été d'une grande aide lorsque j'ai eu besoin de soins médicaux après avoir marché sur un oursin. Il a organisé rapidement une consultation, réservé un taxi et facilité ma prise en charge prioritaire à la clinique. Le personnel a également fait preuve de gentillesse en offrant le repas du soir, livré dans la chambre en raison de notre retour tardif après l'intervention. Un grand merci à Selvyn et à tout le personnel pour leur travail exemplaire.

Some of the employees were really special. Sweety at the Bistro was wonderful, helpful, and seemed to know exactly what we needed and was spot on. Front desk employees were courteous and helpful. Food options and restaurants were very nice. Maintenance workers were noisy in the mornings. We could have done without the initial resort tour prior to check in. The check in process is too long.

Bodde 10 dager på dette fantastiske sted med familie og «all inclusive». Totalt 6 voksne. Alle var enige om at oppholdet var helt perfekt. Flere fine bassenger, men vi benyttet havet og den herlige stranden. Som mange andre har beskrevet var personalet meget hyggelige og service innstilte. Restaurantene var mange og serverte god mat. Vi testet også et par av spisestedene hvor man måtte betale for maten. Det er absolutt å anbefale å prøve disse. Det er en fordel å lese opp seg på restaurantene på forhånd, slik at man kan booke disse så fort man sjekker inn. Det blir fort fullbooket. Kjempefint at WiFi fungerte også over hele ute området! Alle aktiviteter som ikke involverte motorbåt var gratis, og det var mange muligheter. Anbefales. Det er mulig å booke både halvdags og heldagsturer. Katamaran turene så ut til å være temmelig fullsatte. Vi booker en heldagstur med katamaran kun for oss, uten at det kostet all verden. Også her var krewet helt fantastiske. Vi booket også en privat heldagstur med motorbåt langs vestkysten, med landgang på et par flotte strender. Krewet kommuniserer med andre båter for å finne delfinene. Så underveis ble det snorkleing med delfiner. Mange fine minner og bilder!

The staff really make this place, the bar, boathouse and activities staff in particular. It has a relaxed and charming atmosphere, rather than a sanitised 5star. Our kids (11,9 & 5yrs) didn’t go in kids club but the staff played table tennis, drafts and chess with them around the beach allowing us to relax. The Sunset on the beach at night is breath taking.

We had an amazing stay at Ravenala Attitude hotel. The food was delicious great choice for everyone especially the sushi at Lime, ground floor executive beachfront suite massive & great position, the gardens & pools were spectacular too. Everyone of the staff was so genuinely friendly & helpful, they were all really proud to work for the company who in turn look after & appreciate their colleagues. We got married whilst there, beautiful & perfect in every way. Sneha went out of her way to ensure everything was just how we wanted it. We spent a week on our honeymoon at The Ravenala Attitude Hotel. The whole resort was a wonderful paradise. The rooms were big and clean. The staff everywhere was extremely friendly. We always got help and advice for everything we needed. The hotel had many different restaurants serving food from different cultures. The quality of the restaurants varied, but everywhere the food was really good. A floating restaurant by the river called Riviera is a must try. Beautiful and romantic place. Chef Ally makes the best food while Brandon (waiter) takes care of you. The hotel beach is also beautiful and there is many different activities you can do besides sipping drinks and laying in the sun. Cruises, watersports etc. The hotel also had a wonderful spa. First we went to steam and sauna. After that we went for a couples massage. It was relaxing and the masseurs were lovely. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the spa was peaceful. We spent a lot of time at the hotel pool. We would like to especially thank the two gentlemen called Yes and Mo. They took special care of us whenever we spent time at the pool. They always made sure we had everything we needed. They were extremely helpful, polite and funny. We had a great time with them. The helpfulness of the employees is remarkable. They will do whatever they can to solve any problems! We were also highly impressed by the water sports activities freely available at the hotel. Do remember to book tables at the restaurants as soon as you arrive, they quickly become full, and they are all worth visiting!

Just returned from 10 days at the Ravenala Attitude, wonderful young and friendly staff, easily got sunbeds and reservations for the many restaurants. Basic evening entertainment, small group, dj or sega dancers. Spotlessly clean all round and the restaurant meals were mostly good, drinks were not premium unfortunately so took a while to find the decent ones. I got the impression the hotel was not full but I may be wrong about that. All in all had a good time and would consider staying at the Ravenala again.

Vi hade en fantastisk vecka där. Jättebra personal, så serviceminded och trevlig. Vi visste innan att stranden och vattnet inte skulle vara det bästa. Den var faktiskt ändå helt ok. Dock finns det stränder inte långt ifrån som man kan ta sig till med taxi eller båt. Kan rekommendera att åka på båtturen för att simma med havssköldpaddor. Då kan de också stanna till vid rev för snorkling som är bättre än de vid stranden. Kom ihåg att boka i middagar på hotellets restauranger redan första kvällen om ni ska få plats. Det är riktigt bra restauranger. Helt ok underhållning varje kväll. Bra träningsmöjligheter med välutrustat gym, både maskiner och vikter, tennis- och pingis mm. Bra utbud med andra träningsaktiviteter aktiviteter på hotellet också. Vi är supernöjda ned vår vistelse.

Having just returned from a lovely family holiday I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would share my positives and negatives. Positives: staff! They are wonderful, so friendly, always happy to help and share all of their top tips and fixed anything that we had an issue with which really made any of our issues no problem at all!! They moved our room as we were at the far end of the hotel to be closer to the pool which was great Great water sports facilities - snorkelling trips, glass bottom boat, kayaks, sups etc. Good choice of restaurants although food could be a bit hit and miss! Riveria was definetley worth the extra cost. Madame Ming was lovely. Kids club was great and so much on offer. Dolphin watching, swimming with turtles 1.5hr boat trip was great (4,500MR) Negatives - facilities are quite tired and cleaning in rooms/communal toilets could be better. Our air con was very noisy and leaked as well as the baths. Tick ridden stray dogs which are not looked after by the hotel. A comment we had previously read which didn’t affect our perception as already aware but to note the water can be less ‘Indian ocean’ due to the river meeting the sea, the sand is a little building sand but perfect shallow calm waters for kids to swim in. Quite a few restaurant choices although mainly all located next to each other and food was quite hit and miss. The pool was green and cloudy most of the stay which seemed to be due to an over chemical use. Overall a great stay

I am sorry for the inconsistencies that you witnessed and have already briefed the team accordingly to avoid such situations in the future.Concerning stray dogs rest assured we are in constant contact with the local authorities and animal welfare associations for a sterilization campaign in order to control the population of dogs in the area. Also, we have our dog lounge where they are fed, sheltered and thereafter adopted. Unfortunately, some in-house guests are making our task more complicated by feeding these animals in the restaurants.I would like to share with you that our beach meets with the mouth of a river which is next to our property. Since Mother Nature can be very unpredictable and which is unfortunately beyond our control, the river sometimes has an impact on our sea and beach. Unluckily, we had quite a few days of torrential rains on the island thus changing the colour of the sea.I regret that our culinary offer was not as per your expectations. I have shared your comments with our Chefs and team for improvement. This is a lovely property and the staff is very friendly and really try to do their best to accommodate requests. The food is okay. There is a lot of variety, catering to many different tastes, and you should absolutely make every effort to book into as many of the restaurants covered by the all inclusive deal as possible. That said, they are a mixed bag. We really enjoyed Madame Ming and Kot Nou and wished we had managed to get into the Beach BBQ for dinner but were unable. We ate there at lunchtime however, which is pretty nice. We didn't have as great experiences at 'O', a Tavola or Bistrot - the last two relating to the food, but the first, to the service, which just left us a little underwhelmed at the end of the evening. The pools are super, the beach is pretty, and they are right alongside one another so it's easy to go back and forth between them. The room was comfortable though with there kids, we were a little cramped - that's probably our fault, not the hotel's. We may not stay there again, having done it for ten days, but we certainly would recommend others put this hotel on their list of ones to consider. The pictures do it justice and if you really want to just unwind and do nothing, the Ravanela Attitude will do the trick.

The whole team at Ravenala are simply Amazing, especially Preetisha! We upgraded to all inclusive which was the best thing we’ve could have Done. We could choose to eat from 7 restaurants out of 9 as well as order drinks wherever and whenever at the hotel bars or go to their shop to get water bottles or other beverages and snacks.

This is a lovely hotel. The reception area is really impressive when entering the hotel. We stopped in an Executive Beachfront room which was huge. All the restaurants were good, none of the evening ones covered by the all inclusive were exceptional, but they were all good. We did use Lime, the Sushi restaurant, at lunchtime which was superb. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel.
