'We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus.'

'Love love love! Dec-2018: Stayed for 2-nts with the family (6 adults and 5 (all under 9yrs) children) and loved the location, space and freedom that Cumnock Knowes afforded us. You can't miss the property as it stands proud on the horizon as you drive south, out of Carsphairn. The woodland that has been removed from around the house would have offered some protection from the elements, but the views from every window were fantastic - hopefully replanting is in the plans for the future. 'This is a beautiful and luxurious property. We really enjoyed our stay here. We are three middle aged women (plus 2 elderly cats) and it was perfect for us with an en-suite bathroom each plus an enclosed utility room for the cats.The estate is beautiful with lovely walks and is close to Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet, all of which are within a 20 minute drive. We visited Threave, Cally gardens and Broughton house as well as the Red Kite experience and some local alpacas!...
