Er zijn niet plekken om te overnachten in Death Valley. Dit is NIET EEN GOEDE PLEK. De accommodatie kamers zijn erg verouderd. Zwembad is niet veranderd laatste 10 jaar. Eten is een GROOT PROBLEEM. Er is maar weinig en informatie is slecht. Enige restaurant moet je dagen van te voren reserveren. Ook al zijn er plekken, je komt er niet in. Het is ook veel te duur. Alternatief buffet is zeer matig en ook te duur. Er zijn veel van deze reacties te vinden over het eten, maar de eigenaar geven niet thuis. Het komt toch wel vol. Advies: overnacht verder weg en maak een mooie dag trip door Death Valley, maar laat dit links liggen.

Fantastische plek, maar basic.
Je gaat hier natuurlijk heen voor de plek. En die is fantastisch. Dus ben je in de buurt dan zeker hier verblijven. Maar verwacht weinig tot geen service of sfeer. Als ze een beetje beter hun best zouden doen en wat meer investeren in hun resort dan zou dit een waar paradijs kunnen zijn. Nu is alles redelijk versleten. Restaurant en saloon zijn leuk, maar personeel is niet aardig en de prijzen zijn belachelijk hoog. Kwaliteit ondermaats. Gewoon jammer! Maar goed als je dit weet en je komt zonder verwachtingen dan nog steeds fijne plek om te verblijven.

Goed mooi groot hotel wat bestaat uit allerlei verschillende gebouwen met kamers. Wij zaten achter in op eerste verdieping. Helaas geen lift aanwezig dus was effe sjouwen. Klein balkon goed werkende airco wat erg prettig is bij de temp buiten. Helaas doordat de highway 190 die door Death Valley loopt afgesloten was door Flash Floods eerder in de maand moesten we helemaal omrijden vanaf De Tioga Pass. Hierdoor pas tegen 23 uur in het hotel en geen gebruik kunnen maken van restaurant en zwembad. Maar zag er wel mooi uit. Zekers aanrader. Ligt midden in Death Valley en is groene oase wat ook beetje gek is zo midden in de woestijn. Vanuit hotel is gehele national park normaal gezien goed te bereiken, nu was groot deel helaas afgesloten door de flash flood. Maar diepste punt van USA, Badwater was de volgende morgen gelukkig open gegaan voor bezoekers. Goed bed, wifi aanwezig, ontbijt hadden we zelf mee dus weet niet hoe dat was je kan betaald een ontbijtbuffet gebruiken. Lieve dames in souveniersshop die duidelijk gezellig vonden om toeristen te zien, na de corona sluitingen was hotel dit jaar al paar x gesloten omdat Death Valley en terrein hotel letterlijk overstroomde.

De lokatie is natuurlijk fantastisch, jammer genoeg is de accommodatie oud en aan een opfris beurt toe . Het zwembad is fijn maar de Entourage is oud , ligstoelen zijn kapot .

Kamer stonk
De kamer stonk alsof er een hond op het tapijt had geplast. Helaas waren er geen andere kamers beschikbaar. Ze hebben toegezegd de kamer direct schoon te maken terwijl wij in de tussentijd zouden gaan eten. Helaas is dat niet gebeurd.

There was so little parking. There was so many sections with cones up, you couldn't park anywhere! Maybe someone that can give a shuttle ride when your in the last building? Your staff was incredibly efficient and welcoming. I will say, the beds were so comfortable, thank you for that!

We were unaware that reservations are required at some of the restaurants (even a month in advance), as there are few options on site. It is difficult to get a table at the Saloon, and a long wait in any case. The Tavern is only open on weekends, but it is a great venue (with a limited menu). The buffets don’t require reservations, but that is too much food for us. There was no microwave in our room, so we had no way to heat up food. Some things are available at the General Store. A snack bar would be helpful for breakfast foods, salads, and sandwiches.

Liked location but there are not many choices near the DV highlights. First time visiting and staying at the Ranch. Our room was a tad shabby, especially the bathroom. Just a little worn out. Shower was pretty run down. Went horseback riding which was great and super convenient on the resort property.

Pros: A peaceful place to stay, within the park, very lush and well maintained, with shops, restaurants and stores. The food was expensive with average quality at the restaurant. The general store had everything you might need, but very pricy. Cons: Room was not cleaned. The coffee mugs were inverted, but they were dirty with dried coffee and food stuck to them. They were not washed after the previous guest. Dust everywhere in the room and pieces of small trash on the floor and under the table and chair; suggested the floor was not vacuumed. There was no room service on our second day and we ran out of coffee and tea bags. Called the front desk and asked for coffee which never arrived! Overall we had a pleasant stay here. I hope the management take care of the cleaning shortcomings.

It was fascinating , The Ranch at Death Valley had everything that the whole family can enjoy: Swimming pool, Playground for Kids, Tennis Court, Basketball hoops, food options, Good old Ice cream Parlor, General store etc. The rock formations are amazing, The Grand Canyon without the Water.

Pros Death Valley is amazing and it’s such a privilege to stay in the heart of it. The wild rose tavern was a real treat, reasonable prices, lovely staff, games for the kids. The pool is really warm and open until 11pm. Cons Sadly the whole ranch just doesn’t feel cared for. I don’t think our room had been vacuumed and there were hairs in the bath plug hole. No daily housekeeping during your stay. Indoor common areas also didn’t look that clean. The buffet lunch was pretty awful (although to be fair my kids liked it!). Some staff were lovely but many looked pretty fed up. 30mins queue to check in as there was only one (very fed up looking) employee checking everyone in. I felt very sorry for her. Rooms have virtually no sound proofing at all so sounds of other guests coming from every angle. Im glad we stayed in Death Valley and my kids had fun and enjoyed the pool. Just wish they took better care of what could be an amazing place.

Very very outdated , expensive pricing , not well maintained , mattress quality very poor, only thing upkept is the check in office and the landscape in front and surrounding the check in office building . The rooms tje pool the basket ball court landscape very poor condition the rooms and the roads leading to the rooms are literally ugly!
