De flat van de oude havenmeester

Volledig ingerichte flat met twee slaapkamers op de 2e verdieping, gelegen in het beschermde natuurgebied Dunbar Harbor. Gemakkelijk op loopafstand van de High Street, recreatiebad, treinstation enz. Veel goede restaurants, bars en cafés zijn ook gemakkelijk te bereiken. Deze accommodatie ligt in het beschermde natuurgebied en kijkt uit op de pittoreske haven van Dunbar en het Ooststrand. Het is nieuw ingericht, voorzien van vloerbedekking en uitgerust met een hoog niveau van comfort.

De flat wordt betreden via een schone en lichte gemeenschappelijke trap en bevindt zich op de bovenste verdieping (2e) verdieping. Er is voldoende gratis parkeergelegenheid bij de haven en op Shore Street, evenals een aangewezen parkeerplaats voor de flat.
Het zou perfect passen bij een gezin van twee volwassenen en maximaal twee kinderen. De accommodatie is rookvrij.
Dunbar heeft bezoekers veel te bieden. Het ligt aan de Golf Coast van East Lothian en heeft twee banen: Winterfield en Dunbar, een kwalificatiereeks voor Open Kampioenschappen. De Coast to Coast Surf School ligt aan het Belhaven-strand aan de rand van de stad en biedt surfcursussen en paddleboard-sessies. Foxlake Adventures ligt op 5 minuten rijden en is een van de grootste wakeboarden centra in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, evenals het aanbieden van touwbanen en een zip-draad. Voor de jongere leden van de familie blijft East Links Family Park tevreden met zijn selectie van dieren (boerderij en meer exotisch), spoorwegen en andere attracties.
Dunbar is slechts 20 minuten met de trein naar het centrum van Edinburgh - een van de topbestemmingen van Europa met vele jaarlijkse evenementen zoals het Edinburgh Festival en de Military Tattoo. Er rijden ook regelmatig bussen naar verschillende bestemmingen in East Lothian, Edinburgh en North Northumberland.

Beautiful apartment with nice view on the sea. Excellent stay for visiting the Scottish coastline and just in the close neighbourhood to Edinburgh. Friendly host and well kept appartement. Absolute recommended for your stay.

Beautiful flat with a view in a central location

The property is even lovelier than the pictures don't justice, the view from the bay window over part of the harbour and further south towards the light house were beautiful and our toddler was absolutely blown away by all the things he could see out the window! It's such a central location within walking distance of the harbour, main street with shops and restaurants, swimming pool, and a fantastic park. Well worth a stay.

Nice little place in Dunbar

We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of this flat and the area. There is a lot to do and see around Dunbar and North Berwick, and it was very easy to hop on the train and go into Edinburg. The big bed was really comfortable and the shower worked great.

Superb harborside flat in Dunbar

We were delighted with this spacious, spotless, sunny and well-equipped apartment for our two week stay. The host was wonderful from check-in through close, offering assistance and information throughout. Highly recommend and look forward to a return.

We loved staying at this property, the location close to the sea and only a few minutes from the Main Street where there were shops and cafes was great. The train station was not far off for access to Edinburgh. Susie was always responsive and helpful. The accomodation had every thing we needed.

Great place for a weekend stay

We used Susie's place as a base for attending a wedding in the local area and it was just what we needed. Well located, all the amenities that you could need (the iron was especially helpful...) and a lovely communal space to relax and look at the beautiful view. The beds were made up as two doubles for us and our friends which was really helpful too.

Great Get-a-Way!

We loved our 4 night stay at the Harbor Master's Apartment. Susie was there to great us when we arrived and was so friendly and helpful, explaining everything for us and giving us great suggestions. The apartment was good size and beautifully decorated to the seaside theme with a great view of the harbor. It was within walking distance to the train station which we used daily for trips into Edinburgh. It was nice each afternoon to leave the hustle of the city and return to the Quiet, comfortable, easy-going and safe feel of the beautiful seaside village of Dunbar. There were several places to eat in town, just a short and enjoyable walk from the apartment. Wish we could have had even more time to stay in town and just explore and relax. Absolutely loved the apartment and town! Great experience!

Holiday Haven in Dunbar!

This flat is fantastic! The view from the sitting room is just gorgeous as it looks out onto an inlet of the North Sea. We loved the reading nook, but it was difficult to concentrate on the written words with such a view. The layout is great for families, especially how the rooms are separated by a hallway and door from the sitting/dining room. All the amenities we needed were there, including a washing machine and microwave. We even had a choice as to hang our clean, wet clothes inside on a rack or outside on a clothesline. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet with lots of birdsong. The location was easy to access, and we walked all over Dunbar, including wonderful footpaths. This place was our favourite, and we highly recommend it! Thank you to Susie and Seamus for providing such a haven on our holiday!

Very Nice Stay- Recommend

We stayed for a few days in June 2024. It's a very nice apartment, fully furnished. It's a short walk from the town's main street which has a couple of medium-sized supermarkets and several different restaurants. It's also about a 10-15 minute walk from the Dunbar train station and many bus stops for transportation options. Susie is very responsive with communications and answered all of our questions during the check in process. Would recommend staying here.
