Make this gorgeous Montana home near Yellowstone Park your vacation destination this summer! The Mountain Mirador Lodge is a lovely welcoming home in the Yellowstone Park and Chico Hot Springs area, ideal for family vacations and reunions and just plain getting away from it all!

The home is a short 15 minute drive to Chico Hot Springs, 10 minutes to the town of Emigrant, and a beautiful approx. 25-30 minutes through Yankee Jim Canyon to the north entrance of Yellowstone Park and the town of Gardiner, Montana. Lots of wildlife along the way! In every direction are breathtaking scenes of the Yellowstone River, Paradise Valley and Emigrant Peak. The home’s large windows and two decks are great for indoors or outdoors viewing and for relaxing with a barbecue cook-out or as you enjoy the scenery.

There are two very comfortable living spaces - a spacious living and dining area with cozy gas fireplace on the main level, and on the lower level there is a gathering/game room with table tennis, pool table, and loungers for TV or movie watching (DVD library available). The house is situated and built in a way that takes maximum advantage of the views, with large windows all around.

There is a large deck on the front of the house with phenomenal views of the Absaroka mountain peaks, which is accessible from a private master bedroom door and from the main entry. There is a BBQ deck just off of the kitchen and dining area, along with a patio off with a private entrance outside of one of the two lower level bedrooms

Sleeping Accommodations: The home has two master suites on the main floor, one with a king bed, TV, spacious bathroom with a beautiful tiled shower. The other suite has a queen bed and private bathroom with a tub/shower. Downstairs are two more bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Further sleeping space is available using two loungers in the family room which open out to full sized beds, each accommodating two people for sleeping. A third full bathroom serves this floor.

Nearby is historic Chico Hot Springs Resort with its natural hot springs pool, trails rides, sporting clays, day spa, and exceptional dining. Other activities in the Valley include whitewater rafting, scenic flights, guided trips and tours into the Park, art galleries, rodeos in June and July, and in August, the Fiddler’s picnic.

Shopping: In the nearby small town of Emigrant you’ll find a well-stocked grocery store, bank, post office, gas station, gift store, fly fishing store, cafe, bar and restaurant. A little further north you will find the towns of Livingston and Bozeman with more options for shopping and dining.

Hot springs trip

The property itself was smaller than expected from the photos but with the storm not all of our party was able to make it so it was fine. There are a few basic kitchen amenities which was nice! The property manager realized the miscommunication on the entry code and called as we pulled into the property to ensure we had the correct one. The game area downstairs was a big hit with the family! Both upstairs and downstairs tvs didn’t work correctly. The floors were not clean in the bathrooms.(dead flies, dust, hair) The fact that we arranged for an early check in(1pm) only to find that in order to access the house we had to walk up the driveway (200ft, steep uphill, through 3 ft of snow, in an active show storm) we were able to utilize the sled in the garage to trek our luggage to the home as we were told the driveway would not be plowed until 5pm. The plow team showed up early at 3ish but got stuck in the snow multiple times. We were informed that this property is not on a contracted plow schedule and not being able to access the property was a frequent issue. The close proximity to Chico hot springs was very nice. Yellowstone hot springs is also close by! I would suggest the property manager do an update on the property binder as it’s pretty out of date, and could be a helpful resource.

Amazing property!

Our stay was fantastic - the property and views are breathtaking from all rooms/sides of the house. The house is clean and spacious and fully equipped with everything you’d need. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Family vacation

Wonderful cabin

The cabin is in a beautiful quiet setting and was clean and comfortable. The 30 minutes or so drive to Yellowstone was a joy as the scenery is breathtaking and there is plenty of wildlife to see on the drive. If you want to go to Yellowstone but don’t want to stay in a busy area I highly recommend this property.

Family holiday

We stayed here while visiting and celebrating the holidays with our daughter who lives in the neighborhood. There were only 4 of us but it was wonderful and could comfortably accommodate 2 or 3 times that many. Beautiful views everywhere, well stocked kitchen with all the essentials including spices etc, super comfortable beds. Perfect! We will be back soon!

liked having ping pong and pool table. Trouble with water going out and filtered water was struggling to keep up with 10 people. Beautiful views. Short white and black hairs on some furniture and in sheets... Very responsive to these issues, which we appreciate.

Family Christmas

We had our adult children meet us here for Christmas! We mostly stayed at the house and went to Chico Hot Springs! The house was perfect for our family and great for entertainment with game room! The only disappointment was dead flies everywhere and mouse traps everywhere and hearing mice in the basement bedroom wall and upstairs bathroom ceiling!! My husband did tighten the upstairs barstools they were really loose and the downstairs laundry room door was off the hinges so he fixed that as well! But overall it was a great experience

Family vacation

House was amazing with beautiful views. There was 7 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room. The views were incredible. Every bed was so comfortable. We saw deer every single morning. It was about 25 minutes into Yellowstone which was great. It had all the necessities needed to cook meals and do laundry. Definitely felt like a home away from home. Would definitely come back again.

Property # 2514862 Review

We stayed at this property August 6-10, 2023. Eight adults and three children (4 years, 16 months and 10 months). The home is very nice with great views almost 360 degrees. The general store in Emmigrant was close, convenient and well stocked. If there were something you can't find at the general store the 30 minute drive to Livingston is easy and very scenic along the Yellowstone River. Chico's Hot Springs Resort is only 15 minutes away and has a nice hot springs pool that is available to visitors along with a couple nice shops and restaurants. The amenities in the home were just as described in the VRBO information, the master bedroom is fabulous with the large attached master bathroom. We had mule deer pass within 100 feet of the home and plenty of birds. With the expansive views we enjoyed watching rain, thunder and lightning as it passed through the valley. We did have a couple issues while there and found that the hostess/manager for the property was less than responsive when we sent texts making her aware of them. Eventually we made contact with the owners of the property who were very responsive to us. We hope the issues with the hostess/manager will be addressed.

Beautiful view!

Overall, the property was beautiful. The views from the upper floor were amazing! The upper floor in general was also very welcoming and inviting. There were a few minor things that could have been improved a little earlier communication about check in since we were flying in, the air conditioner is only a small unit on the upper floor, and we were hoping there would be an iron on the property. Aside from these again, super minor things, the place was great!

Accommodated 11 of us! We were able to make wonderful meals, sleep and play without any problems. A few problems arose, but our hostess stepped in to fix it. All in all a wonderful stay and a sweet memory.

Beautiful location!

My husband and I stayed here with friends who had 8 kids ranging from 5-19. It was great for our Yellowstone adventure. Nice having all the amenities needed. Host was an excellent communicator. Beds were comfortable! Wish we had more time to enjoy but we were in the park for long days. It’s about 30-35 minutes to the Gardiner gate. About 20-25 minutes to the awesome Yellowstone Hot Springs. The views would be great, can’t believe some “Canadian forest fire smoke” rolled in during our Mid May trip. Keep in mind that it says sleeps “12”, but the futon and couch downstairs are best suited for 2 kids each (not adults). The bedrooms are: king, queen, queen, 2 single beds so for adults it would be 8. Plus the dining table seats 8, then a bar with 3 stools. The kids loved the pool table.

When the Clouds Lifted...

Roomy property with phenomenal views (when the clouds lifted)! We had a great time exploring Yellowstone, the hot springs, nearby Bozeman. And the pool and ping pong table provided hours of entertainment. Well stocked with everything you need whatever the weather. We'd come back!
