We didn't make it to the bar, which I understand is the hotel's highlight. The room was a bit cramped but the bathroom was a good size. It was clean and tidy but there were things that needed refilling that had obviously been ignored. The base of the bed was comfortable but there was a weird gap between that and the headboard, which was fixed to the wall, that meant you couldn't really sit up in bed. The pillows were awful. We loved the complementary mini-bar, which included decanters of spirits and lovely tumblers in which to drink them (not that either of us drink spirits other than in cocktails!). The hotel is in a good location for the city centre and since we were facing away from the street, it was quiet for us. All in all, so-so. I wouldn't choose to stay here again but at the same time, I'd be happy to if that was the only option. It's a good choice if you're not planning on spending much time in your room.
