Welcome to our stunning mountain retreat in Idaho Springs, located just a short walk from the famous hot springs! This home on Soda Creek is the perfect getaway for large groups or families, with 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests. This home also includes a private sauna, perfect for relaxing sore muscles after a day of skiing or hiking.

Bad start, but overall a good stay

Overall a good stay and a good property. The check-in process was messy, though. There was a keypad on the door and lockbox dangling from the door knob. The Vrbo email gave us the lockbox code that opened to a key. The key didn't work on anything. There was a second email that told us a code for the keypad. That code didn't work. We messaged the host and about 15-20 mins later we got a third code that did open the keypad.FYI - Three bedrooms upstairs and a master bedroom downstairs. We all stayed upstairs since the master bed was really, really firm. The house is full of quirky tiny closet doors. Strange, but just part of an old house's charm.You can't get to the attic, but there is a small attic window on the front of the house. The light in the attic is on and that freaked my wife out a little. Didn't bother anyone else.

Comfortable and convenient

Stayed for 5 days. Location is great, easy to get to. Had enough space for family to relax. The little teepee was a hit. Kitchen and dining space were awesome. There are 4 bedrooms, beds slept well. Enjoyed our stay. .

This was a nice place to stay with a big group. Easy to hang out and cook big meals. Unfortunately, parts of the house absolutely reeked of cat urine. In addition, the neighbors are quite loud; working on cars and cutting scrap, and throwing parties until midnight. Also, not mentioned in the listing, you will only be given a “starter pack” of sunrises like toilet paper and dish detergent, which will only last 2-4 days, then you will have to buy your own. I was not told this until day-of.

Was perfect place and location. Quiet area, older house, but well maintained. Easy walking to Idaho Springs downtown. Right by Indian hot springs. Easy drive to Evergreen/Lakewood. Close to I70 but far enough away.

It’ll do in a pinch

This property was not clean: dirty diaper under master bed, Cheetos wrappers under bed upstairs ( found when checking for any items we may have left at checkout, dirty washcloth left in bathroom, some dishes in cabinet were greasy, hair in master shower, floors not clean. A couple of dining room chairs had broken legs as did a living room chair. Many of the outlets in the upstairs bedrooms did not work. One upstairs bedroom was un-usable because it had no curtains. We knew the upstairs had no bathroom but that proved to be a very inconvenient and annoying situation for middle of the night bathroom visits. The front door and a window beside the bathroom had no curtains so you could see in from outside when coming down the stairs at night to go to the bathroom. We had to put up makeshift curtains using blankets. The kitchen was fully functional and user friendly. The living area had comfortable sofas. The heat and hot water worked good. It was walkable to town which we liked. It is right on a main road but was mostly very quiet. Just know that this is a very old house with many quirks like very uneven threshold at kitchen. If it was cleaner we might stay again if there was nothing else in the area because we like the walkability to nearby restaurants, grocery store etc

Charming Home with lots of space

Large open home with space to accommodate the entire family - Fully stocked kitchen. Clean bathrooms and charming décor. Washer and Dryer were an added plus. Easy access to the hot springs (within walking distance) and downtown. Would definitely stay again.

Well stocked, comfortable accommodations, walking distance to downtown. Loved the spacious home and location to downtown. This home was clean, up to date without compromising the historic charm, and the best stocked VRBO we've stayed in to date. We will rent here again!

nice enough, close to town

nice older CO mtn home, has some modern updates, but also could use a little more TLC, windows original, most you cant open, some cracked, no screens on any, The new kitchen window has more cobwebs/spiders on latch than others wanted to deal with, a deep cleaning prior to check in would be appreciated ( I know mtn home..) small things.. transition from dining room wood floor to new kitchen tile could be improved, few people tripped or commented, also transition from main bedroom flooring to new bathroom tile could use better transition. otherwise the house worked fine, quiet area, walked to town for food/beverages, close to hot springs.

Perfectly Cute!

This was an amazing stay for my family and I! We have 7 people total and everyone had enough room to spread out and enjoy the house. I loved having a kitchen to cook - it was stocked with the essentials from the pantry to the cookware. The Hot Springs is a 3 minute walk away and the grocery store is right down the street, so it was the perfect location. Would recommend this to anyone staying in the Idaho Springs area.
