Trying to pick up the shuttle was difficult. LAX is a large airport and they could not give correct directions. Fridge was running all night bathroom floor was very slippery.

Location is close to airport. Short 15 minute walk to downtown El Segundo which has a lot of great restaurants, lounges and breweries to enjoy.

This was the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a place for people coming and going from LAX, they offer a lot of services for airport travelers, but if you aren’t flying it’s not worth it. We drove from Oregon with our service dog and discovered they charge $40 a night for parking. We were able to easily park in the neighborhood, but it wasn’t convenient. The staff was friendly, but didn’t offer us any help with our luggage- I couldn’t find a luggage cart anywhere. They are “pet friendly” but do not have a pet area. The hotel is surrounded by ice plant, we had to walk a couple blocks to get to grass, which wasn’t fun for morning/late night potty. I grew up in the area so I’m familiar, but it’s not a super safe place to walk around at night. The doors and windows of the hotel room do not block sound. We were put next to the elevator and above the employee loading area, and could hear everyone & everything, the other guests were very loud. We stayed at several hotels during this trip, and this was the most expensive with the least amenities. The only thing we were given for “free” was one bottle of water for the two of us to share. I’ve been looking forward to staying here since the renovation, my mom lives close by, but I have had better stays at the motels in Inglewood.

The heat did not work and when I requested an extra blanket they sent me towels because the were all out. Terrible night's sleep. Requested a refund because I do not want to stay here again

The check in was a disaster. I had lost my wallet and purchased a prepaid card for the amount of 50 dollars so they had a credit card to hold the room. After getting declined several times and repeatedly asking if she was sure it was 50 to which she repeatedly confirmed, I went and added more money to the card only to discover after an hour of trying to check in that indeed the amount was incorrect. The room smelled of old smoke. The decor in the room was tacky and cheap. No privacy from the sheer curtains adorned with random numerical sequences. All of the electronics were dated. Nowhere to charge phone. TV was old. A random old fm radio without a cord sat on a desk with an opened magazine. The bathroom was truly the most horrific part. Not only were the amenities extremely scarce, you only get two towels and a little bottle of body lotion. Housekeeping only comes every other day. Upon opening the shower curtain I immediately noticed the drain had random hairs covering it and near that a small dried glob of what appeared to be human fesces. Aside from that, the entire bathroom needed a good scrub down. It smelled musty and gave the impression it had never been bleached since its construction.

The first room that was assigned to us was in a basement area (Level 1). It was below the main lobby level. The room had a horrible smelll like several dirty animals. The staff said they would communicate that to housekeepers. We asked to be reassigned to another room. The second room assigned was also in the basement but it didn’t smell bad. It was obvious that this level is used for house keeping activities, Expedia customers and people with pets. It felt substandard. As a Marriott rewards member I am accustomed to better customer service and accommodations at Marriott properties. The great plus is there is a shuttle to the airport and we have a brief overnight stay.

Air conditioning did not work. I tried to call the front desk to report it but the phone was broken. There was no bell boy to help with luggage . As a disabled person I had to get the desk clerk to help me with my bags. Also no room service. Would never recommend!

Free shuttle to and from LAX airport. Restaurants are walkable (across the street). Perfect for overnight stay due to layover. Weird in room thermostat: temp up to get cold air, temp down for hot air. Staff friendly though and there’s a happening bar down at the lobby area.

Great staff,hotel was clean , modern and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again. Location is perfect. I suggest staying at this location near the airport if you’re renting a car. It is central to all attractions. Overall super happy.

The room was freezing and there was no way to turn up the heat. I was told I would get some extra blankets and a space heater, and it took about 3 hours for me to get the heater. The staff was very nice, but the fact that clients can’t adjust their own room temperatures is not acceptable.

Aloft- new style of hoteling
I like how Aloft made me feel at home with its modernized decor with a touch of art deco. It beats being on corporate looking rooms. The bed and pillows are comfy. Small space for bigger luggages. Howver- i love the functionalities of a bench sofa where you can also place your luggage on top. Aloft also made me feel like i am in Europe with its style.
