Hotel is good, service needs improvement

The hotel itself was nice - clean and comfortable. We managed to catch one of the few shuttles to the center (the hotel is near the airport), which was convenient, but not many schedule options so only had about 2 hours to explore the city. Where I was disappointed was the transfers to/from the airport. There is no option to schedule airport pickup, or even send a message via email or whatsapp once you arrive using the airport's free wifi. The only option I was given was to find a payphone to call. This is extremely inconvenient for anyone traveling internationally and I was a bit surprised at the lack of flexibility, though I'm not sure if that's from the staff or management. In the morning I had scheduled to take the 5am shuttle back to the airport and I arrived in the lobby at 5am only to be told the shuttle had already left - the clock at reception was apparently ahead of satellite updated iphone time. Was a bit disappointed that even though I was on a list to take the shuttle, no one called the room to confirm if I was on my way or no longer needed the shuttle. In summary, nice hotel, close to the airport, but after 2 failed attempts I can't confirm if the "free" airport shuttle actually exists since I ended up paying taxi/uber both ways which is shockingly expensive to be so near the airport (20-25 euros).
