Bos huisje op landgoed bij Desoto Falls op Lookout Mountain Mentone Alabama

Canyon Falls Cottage, aangrenzende en metgezel verhuur aan "The Cliff House" (zie VRBO-lijst # 1213591) is op een canyon rand landgoed met uitzicht op Desoto Falls aan de Little River op Lookout Mountain in Mentone Alabama. Het is mogelijk om de huur van beide hutten tegelijkertijd te beveiligen. Het huisje is toegankelijk voor gehandicapten.
Het is omgeven door 80 jaar oude berg Laurel en Rhododendrons.
De eerste verdieping is toegankelijk voor gehandicapten / rolstoel met een handicap parkeerplaats en een traditionele parkeerplaats, oprit naar de afgeschermde veranda, rolstoeltoegankelijke keuken en badkamer met douche voor gehandicapten. Het huisje kijkt uit op het bos. Desoto Falls kan worden bekeken vanaf het landgoed, en het State Park boven de Falls ligt op drie minuten lopen.
Er zijn twee slaapkamers met eigen badkamer, een volledig uitgeruste keuken met vaatwasser, wasmachine en droger, kathedraal plafond grote kamer met gasfornuis, grote tv en WiFi.

I was very happy to find a place that would accommodate my elderly disabled Dad. The beds were nice and low to the floor and the walk in shower was easy for him to access. There was plenty of space for him to walk around with his rollator. The kitchen was ample. The reclining chairs in the living area were nice. Everything was great. The only thing that I can say negative is that I didnt find the little couch to be very comfortable, but other than that we had an amazing stay. The host wven made sure we had a charcoal grill to grill on since the gas grill wasnt working, he made sure we knew oflocal eateries to try and how to work the T.V. remote.

It made Valentine’s weekend memorable, and having a beautiful woman was just an addition that was over the top. Everything was perfect, I’m planning to go back, but this time rent both properties for the entire family to experience the beauty of the waterfalls. The history of the property is enriched with just what an individual falls in love with.

I stayed in this beautiful cottage with my cousin. We planned a last minute nature getaway and it was absolutely perfect. We got the kindest greeting from our sweet host, Balpha the moment we arrived with a lovely tour of the property. The cottage is beautiful with peaceful surroundings and you can hear the sounds of nature all around. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you to the lovely hosts for your hospitality!

We had a very nice relaxing time. The screened in porch was amazing! The weather was perfect. The handicap ramp and other amenities were fantastic for my sister who has some disabilities. I highly recommend this cottage especially if you just want to kick back and relax. We are planning to go back. Next time I think we will take more groceries and prepare our meals there.

My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. The owner, Balpha, is a true gem! The cottage is gorgeous and oh so comfortable. Meeting Balpha and receiving his tour of the property and tips for Mentone was a highlight! These properties will be our go-to accommodations when we visit Mentone and DeSoto State Park and Falls in the future. A+++++

The property puts you in state of relaxation the min you turn in the driveway. I mean from the sound of the waterfall to the birds chirping and the the clean fresh air. The host and the cabin has a home feeling that takes all the stress away.

This cottage is PERFECT! We have enjoyed staying in the main house for several years, but this was our first stay at the cottage. Although it shares ALL of the wonderful amenities of the other house, it has a unique and special personality of its own! The front porch with its gliding rockers has become one of my favorite spots to read and relax, and you can hear DeSoto Falls. It is also a great place to see and hear the many interesting birds in the area. I was quite excited by my first close look at a Pileated Woodpecker! The cottage itself is exquisitely decorated, and the hosts always leave the most beautiful fresh flowers for us! It is also handicap accessible which we did not need, but it will be perfect for some of our family members who would love to join us for a restful mountain vacation. There are not enough superlatives to describe the hosts, Balpha and Brue. It is their personal attention to detail that makes both the cottage and the main house the absolute Best of the Best!

This cabin was absolutely AMAZING! It was cute and cozy and perfect for me and my two girls. Balpha was a wonderful host, coming by to make sure we had everything we needed and to show us how to work the tv. I would most definitely rent again!

We had two peaceful and relaxing days. Everything we needed was supplied. Of all the VRBO's it is one of the cleanest that we have ever been to. We always look forward to our time at The Canyon Falls or The Cliff House. I wish there was a way to give it more than 5 stars!
