Bronx Guesthouse - Unacceptable

Voordelen: I never saw the hotel. The address they provided over the phone did not exist.
Nadelen: Take them off the Travelocity list of hotels in New York City
Locatie: The area of the supposed hotel was some what rundown, but OK. The address provided did not actually exist.
The Bronx Guesthouse did recognize my Travelocity reservation. My only contact with BG was via telephone. BG said there was no reservation for me, and they had no rooms available. When I checked the BG website, they only listed the address with a street name, but no number. I asked for the number and BG was reluctant to give the number with the excuse they did not want drop in's. They finally gave me a number and I went to that location, but it turned out that no such number existed. I ultimately had to go to a Dunkin Donuts and make new last minute reservations online. I would highly recommend that the Bronx Guesthouse be removed from the Travelocity list of hotels, and that they be investigated. The way in which they respond to my phone call, it would appear they are a sham and a bogus hotel.

Geplaatst op 30 mrt. 2011Besides being confronted with the barking dogs, to be dropped off in front of someone's home was just too much for me. The room didn't even have a working TV, and the "no company" rule for a 35 yr. old is just ridiculous.
