great stay, love the castle, stayed in the authentic part and great experience. room was good and comfy and clean and everything you expect from staying in a castle full of history. was like sleeping in a musem which was cool. great local wine from the venue too and loved the views

The property is AMAZING...it is a castle nestled on beautiful grounds with paths/trees, etc. They have a pool and three restaurants. However, the rooms were a bit tired and needed some remodeling. With some improvements, the place can be a nice location near Lake Maggiore to visit!

Very nice place, a little hard to find from the beginning, quiet and very nice staff. The classification of the rooms is a little strange, historical rooms being the cheapest ones. Fantastic dinners at Le Fief, the in-house restaurant.

The hotel is exquisitely furnished with marble, Venetian chandeliers, tapestries and fine fabrics. The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine with historical significance. About 30 minutes from MXP in a quaint small town. Certainly beats the standard stay in a generic airport hotel and well worth the extra time to drive even if only for one night.

Décevant pour un 5 étoiles
L'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles en terme de service. Décoration passée de mode, hotel en dehors du chateau. Le restaurant "le fief" est très bon et pour le coup, au niveau attendu, pareil pour le petit déjeuner. Chambre au mobilier d'un autre temps, imitation ancien, donc sans le charme de l'authenticité.

Great spot!!
The hotel is wonderful and the staff is really nice. Breakfast was really good as well. Overall this hotel is an ideal location to enjoy nature and history.

The property was amazing! We had a great stay, the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast was amazing! Unfortunately, it wasn’t clear that the rooms I was booking were not in the castle itself! And it was a little disappointing that the bars and restaurants don’t have a view of the lake! But we would definitely come back, and also spend more time in the lovely village of Arona!

Questa struttura di lusso è impeccabile! Il ristorante offre un menu ricercato mantenendo però la tradizione dei piatti regionali, lo staff è molto cordiale e disponibile. Le camere sono molto belle e ben equipaggiate una nota soprattutto positiva sui prodotti da bagno. L’intera struttura mantiene il fascino del passato in un contesto di ottima rinnovazione. Bellissimo il castello e la passeggiata nel parco. Anche la piscina molto La proprietà presente è attenta al benessere di tutta la clientela.

Magnifique séjour dans un bel environnement
Très bel hôtel dans un cadre magnifique. Les chambres et les salles de bain valent un 5 étoiles. Le restaurant le Fief est excellent. Le seul point négatif est que les femmes de ménage parlent entre elles à haute voix dès 8 heures du matin dans leur local situé au sommet des escaliers de chaque étage. Ceci n'est pas admissible dans un hôtel de ce standing.

Perte des passeports par l’hôtel!!!
Bel hôtel avec de très bonnes prestations. Chambres bien décorées vastes et confortables. En revanche: - Un restaurant le fief qui n’est pas réellement à la hauteur de ses prétentions et trop cher - surtout un problème sérieux avec la réception. En effet lors de notre arrivée nous avons donnés nos passeports à la réception pour le Check in. Lors de notre départ, impossible de remettre la main sur nos passeports. Rien dans la chambre et un réceptionniste peu patient qui nous explique qu’il n’a pas nos documents. Nous cherchons pendant près d’une heure et recontactons la réception en insistant. Celle ci manifestement agacée nous explique qu’elle n’a rien en sa possession. Nous finissons par partir pour notre retour en France. Sauf que le lendemain nous recevons un mail sans aucune excuse ni explications nous indiquant que finalement nos passeports sont à la réception !!!!! J’ai donc appelé et envoyé un mail et depuis pas de nouvelle. Je considère que c’est une faute grave de la part d’un établissement 5 étoiles..... Un mauvais souvenir pour nous

I left behind a valuable watch. I called and they found the watch and shipped it home to Miami. Very courteous friendly and knowledgeable reception staff. Excellent restaurant both in food quality and service. Beautiful grounds and a great recollection of the castles history. A great experience in every regard. Thank you.

Best value 4/5 star romantic stay closeish to MXP
Hotel was in a classic Manor House as advertised, next to an even grander family castle (to which we were offered a tour). We would pisition it has having four stars until the spa and pool area are completed. The restaurant service was personalised and excellent, making up for the overly bright lighting which slightly diluted what would otherwise have been a romantic ambience.

Beautiful Hotel
We had a lovely stay at this hotel, everything was perfect, the room was beautiful with a great view of Lake Maggiore. It was also very quiet so we slept well. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were also very good. Would highly recommend.

Ein sehr erholsamer, ruhiger und stilvoller Ort. Ohne Auto ist man allerdings aufgeschmissen. Die Küche im Restaurant ist top, besonders die traditionellen Gerichte. Wenn man keinen Trubel sucht, ist dieser Platz mit seinem riesigen Park und dem musealen Schloss genau das Richtige.

Alterwürdiges Hotel, grosszügiges Zimmer mit Bad und Seesicht, grosse Parkgarage, Schloss und Park zur freien Besichtigung, Pool zurzeit im Umbau, freundliches und bemühtes Personal, für uns ein 4 und kein 5 Sternhotel, Frühstück fein, Eierspeisen können beim anwesenden Koch bestellt werden, Möglichkeit, draussen zu frühstücken (Frühstücksraum hat uns nicht wirklich gefallen) - insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt in einem speziellen Hotel, das aber mehr aus sich machen könnte (zb Frühstück statt im Innenhof auf der Terrasse, Schloss und Park samt Teich etwas besser pflegen, Dekoration der Innenräume).
