I booked this cabin in Pioneer, California, as a long-term rental for myself and 1-2 co-workers during an extended field project located nearby, and it truly exceeded our expectations! After staying here for roughly two months during late summer and fall 2024, you could say that we got to know the place very well—and can confidently say it’s both a functional coworking space as well as a fantastic vacation rental option. Our field team was so pleased with this space, especially since booking even the cheapest rooms at any of the nearby hotels for us would be similar in price with significantly fewer perks. The property was spacious enough for 2-3 colleagues to stay comfortably, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space to decompress. The WiFi speed was excellent for the area (cell signal is very limited locally), and there was ample workspace, which made it easy for us to stay connected and productive throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were cozy, laundry facilities worked great, and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. A huge plus that really put this stay above and beyond for us was how responsive and helpful both the property host and owner were. We had some a-typical requests—like needing to ship supplies locally—and the both went above and beyond to accommodate us, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Their attentiveness made a big difference, and we truly felt welcomed throughout our stay.

Location is ideal for anytime of year if you love the outdoors. Close to great hikes/trails during the non snow season and during the snow season close to Kirkwood Ski Resort. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
