Verankert weg Cottage op Glen Cove

IN tegenstelling tot mijn vermelding op de site van ABBNOTHER, heeft VRBO geresulteerd in tientallen tijd consumerende vragen en nulboekingen. ONDERZOEKEN VÓÓR WERKELIJKE RESERVERINGEN SPELEN DUS NIET MEER EEN RESPONS AAN.
Een 1000 m² een verdieping huis gunstig gelegen aan Route 1 en aan de overkant van prachtige Glen Cove. Het huis werd volledig gerenoveerd in 2018. De eigen slaapkamer heeft een prachtig smeedijzeren queensize bed en een flatscreen-tv. Een volledig uitgeruste graniet en roestvrij keuken grenst aan de wasruimte. De ruime zitplaatsen in overvloed in de comfortabele woonkamer met tv met uitzicht op de vijver en de uitgestrekte achtertuin. Er is een gas grill en buiten zitplaatsen op het mooie zonneterras dat uitzicht op Glen Cove heeft. Het is smaakvol ingericht en voorzien van WiFi, airconditioning, warmte. Het huisje verhuurt per week in de zomermaanden mei tot oktober. Maandelijkse huur zijn beschikbaar buiten het seizoen op aanvraag. Sorry maar huisdieren zijn niet toegestaan. Roken is niet toegestaan.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. Close proximity to local towns only 2 hrs from Acadia National Park & 30 minutes to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Perfect for 2 people. The only discrepancy was the online listing which was changed by the property owner after brought to their attention.

A cute house on a quiet street

The house was very nice with a small pond (and ducks!) out back. There was access to the cove and water down the road and across the street. We were disappointed that the house was not on the water and probably would not have booked it had we known. But we did have an excellent time !

Lovely cottage for a 2 person get-away!

Our stay was memorable for all the right reasons! We felt we had booked a most comfortable suite in a fine hotel. Ideally located close to Rockland, Camden and the Samoset Resort, there is much to do in its immediate area. We look forward to returning!

A pleasant cottage

While not as near the water as the photo implies, this cottage is fine for two folks who don’t require much for a nice vacation. Very clean, with all the usual amenities. It does have a nice pond in the backyard that attracts mallard ducks.

Anchors Away!

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property which was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The location was great and we visited many nearby sites - lighthouses, shops in Camden, the Farnsworth Museum, Bar Harbor, etc. The auto road to Mt. Battie and a schooner cruise from Camden Harbor were particular favorites for us. I would definitely recommend this cottage to those looking to explore coastal Maine. We hope to return again in the future.

Lovely house in a great location

This house is in a great location right between Camden and Rockland with lots to do. There is a cove across the street and you can see the water from the side porch. The house is very clean and everything in it is so new. Even the bathrooms that are not showcased on the site are lovely. We like to cook so we really appreciated the the layout of the kitchen with lots of counter space and appliances. It would be nice if there were a few more kitchen utensils such as wooden spoons, cheese grater, ice-cream scoop... etc and maybe a bigger pot and pan with lids. Otherwise, really nice kitchen. It was nice to have two TVs equipped with Roku so that we could unwind and watch our shows/movies at the end of the day. One issue that I had was the heavily scented linens and towels. They were just too strong for my sensitive nose. I prefer all natural, unscented laundry soap. Luckily, I brought my own sheets and blanket. All in all it was a great place to stay for our little getaway.

Weighing in on anchors away

My wife and I wanted to find a nice, quaint, cozy place to spend our 35th anniversary. Anchors away did not disappoint. The property is perfect for a couple. Extremely clean and well kept. Seemed to have been newly renovated and the layout and appointments are fabulous. Lovely neighborhood on the outskirts of Rockland (which is wonderful in its own right). There is a secluded beach across the street. The location is a great home base for exploring the Maine mid-coast area (Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Acadia, Boothbay, etc. etc). Felicia was a joy to interact with and a perfect host. A fantastic Maine getaway for any couple!

Anchors Away located just outside Rockport was just delightful. The neighborhood was quite and house was adorable, perfect for the two of us. It was located in a great area, easy to visit many great sights. A real gem! We hated to leave!

Anchors Away Cottage on Glen Cove Review

The cottage was perfect. It is settled in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood central to everything in Rockport and Camden. Decor and amenities were thoughtful and very much appreciated. The outdoor deck and backyard with the duck pond was used a lot, as well as the dining room and den area where I worked most of the time. The kitchen was fully set up and well stocked with everything would need to feel at home. The hosts were responsive and are lovely people. I highly recommend this listing and will most likely stay again!
