Prachtige zonsondergangen, schildpadden kijken, longtails rijden en gloeiwormen ....

Sunset Studio ligt aan de westelijke rand van Sugar Cane Beach en kijkt uit over Mangrove Bay in de richting van het westen. Het ligt op 10 minuten van Dockyard en op 15 minuten van de belangrijkste stranden.

Het is een eenkamerstudio met een slaapruimte, gemodelleerd naar het kleine huisconcept. Er is een volledige kingsize bed in het hok gebied, samen met kleine ingebouwde kasten aan weerszijden van het bed. De woonkamer bestaat uit een hoekbank die kan worden omgezet in 2 eenpersoonsbedden. De kitchenette is een zeer compacte keuken in "kombuis" -stijl met een volledig fornuis, koelkast met vriesvak, broodrooster en waterkoker. Flatscreen-tv in de woonkamer en loft met open haard en tv, internettoegang, overal airconditioning. De badkamer heeft een grote douche.

De unit heeft directe toegang tot ons strand en er zijn ook trappen die leiden naar de wateren van Mangrove Bay aan de noordgrens. De patio kijkt uit over Mangrove Bay aan de noordkant van het apparaat. Aan de zuidkant komt een beschutte tuin met een bar-b-que gebied (zodra het landschap is voltooid).

De buitenkant van de eenheid is ontworpen om te lijken op de houten huisjes gebouwd in Somerset in de late 19e - vroege 20e eeuw, door West-Indische arbeiders die naar het eiland werden gebracht om te werken in Dockyard. Houd er rekening mee dat het hok toegankelijk is via een compacte trap en mogelijk niet geschikt is voor personen met mobiliteitsproblemen.

Awesome Location

We enjoyed the location. Amazing view every morning with coffee and tea. Watching the boats come in and out of the bay was fun. We saw sea turtles and glow worms, as advertised. Christine was quick to answer our questions and check in was effortless. We enjoyed paddle boards, a tandem kayak around the bay, and the anchored floating raft. You could not ask for anything more. We are already planning another stay.

A wonderful week

For our first trip to Bermuda, we wanted to concentrate our time on the iconic water and lots of walking, less so on tourist attractions. This Somerset spot was perfect for us. We snorkeled right off the beach here (great fish variety), fished almost every day from the rocks, made several kayak trips and on a low-wind day, used the SUP's! We had a great time. The water here is as spectacular as the pictures show. We didn't rent a car or moped (we might if we came again) but we had no trouble using the bus system, which is extremely convenient to the cottage. We also walked to lots of places, and had no difficulty walking on the roads. The cottage is compact and has everything you need, but honestly we spent most of our time outdoors! The host, Christine, was very welcoming, helpful and responsive.

Closest to the an over water bungalow

This house has 2 sets of stone steps- 1 leading to the water and 1 leading to a beach. There are paddle boards at the house to use. The bus stops are not far away. However the bus doesn’t allow big suitcases on them so you will probably need to get a taxi to and from the airport. Christine came and met us to show us around and make sure we were settled. She is great and the place was great. Would definitely go back again!

This cottage is absolutely stunning! Just what we needed for a romantic getaway on the edge of the ocean. Completely private and had everything. So convenient to everything if you want to venture out, but we rarely did because there is no nead to leave. Owner was great and the entire process was very easy.

Tranquility At It’s Finest

Amazing location in the most peaceful of settings. I stayed here for five nights and enjoyed it the fullest. You are just feet away from the water each morning you open the front door. There is so much to take in and experience. I was able to kayak to nearby islands, grill out on the bbq, frequent local eateries, workout at the nearby gym, and enjoy endless sightseeing. I’ve been to over 15 Caribbean islands and this is easily in my top 3 of best places to stay. Loved every second I was here.

Better than we expected!

This spot is a GEM! Not only is the property gorgeous and on the water, but we were surprised at the beautiful deck furniture, a fire pit, snorkeling gear and a paddle board! Our host was very communicative and offered great information on transportation and food. She even offered to pick up groceries for us! I highly recommend this cottage for your intimate stay on the island!

Sugar Cane Cottage was totally amazing, from the Tiny Home to the prestine grounds incl the private beach. The property was clean upon arrival with all the amenities, and within close proximity to Somerset Village, Woody's and Dockyard. Love love love it. Making this an annual Staycay without a doubt!

Unbelievable

This location is just unbelievable. Wake up in the morning and have your coffee overlooking the beautiful blue water and finish your day watching the sunset right in front of you. Getting around is really easy with buses going by all the time and the bus stop is very close. We would stay here again for sure.

Fall Break

A short long weekend for our daughter’s fall break gave us an opportunity to visit Bermuda. The location with private beach was beautiful! The water was a little chilly but we enjoyed snorkeling and swimming. Also had a little time to use the clear bottom kayak. Water was a little rough when I was able to give it a try. Would love to e back when I can stay longer during warmer weather.

I heard the angels sing in Bermuda

Our stay at Sunset Studio Cottage was fantastic. We enjoyed our little beach for relaxation and snorkeling. The cottage was super clean, comfortable, and quaint. The views were spectacular from every direction. I'm not a big shopper, but it rained for two days, so we went to the Dockyard. My favorite store is the Craft Market, where I can buy local goods to bring home. Good eats: il Pomodoro, Somerset - great pizza Pastels @ Cambridge Club - fresh fish was excellent, and guac and chips Anchor Restaurant, Dockyard - best fish sandwich and Caesar Mary Wahoo's, St. George's - also the best fish sandwich and dark and stormy Christine, thank you for allowing us to stay with you. Awesome view

We did not want to leave!! The tiny house was clean and located in an ideal spot. Easy walk to the buses and ferry. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning and night watching the fish go by. Sunsets were amazing. The locals were super friendly!!! Our host Christine took care of our every need. We are now on the other side of the island in St.Georges and missing the tiny house and the hospitality of the locals. Wish we would have stayed longer!

Beautiful Cottage!

This property is absolutely stunning! We had a easy check in process as well as check out. The host was vwry quick to reply - which was very appreciated. Transportation needs are met through the taxi or bus line. One thing i will mentiom is there is not mucj to see "tourist" wise near the cottage Tou will need to transportation to go pretty much anywhere to eat. Again this place is great and well worth the cisit!

Everything was great! Private little beach was awesome , few short steps to the bus stop which was great and the ferry (limited schedule) which worked out perfectly for us going to Harbor night. The property had everything we needed for cooking. We were able to see glow worms right out back which was neat to see. We’ll definitely be back
