This hotel is exactly what you would expect for the price. We came for one night just a quick trip to get a puppy and needed something last minute, pet friendly. The pros were obviously the price and the pet friendly. It was also conveniently located to lots of restaurants and a cvs, etc. The cons were that we originally had two conjoining rooms which is what I wanted but when we went to those rooms there were about 10-15 people outside with a grill and music just crowding the sidewalk so we asked for different rooms so we could get some sleep as we were leaving early. Unfortunately the walls were thin. A woman screamed all night. There was lots of banging and it just went on all night. There was not a lot of water pressure and zero basic amenities I.e shampoo conditioner or even a blow dryer. Again. It did the job and you pretty much just get what you pay for. Front desk personal were friendly and helpful. They changed our rooms with no issues and when our key didn’t work they were quick to get it fixed. If I HAD to stay in St Clairsville again and it had to be pet friendly I would stay again.

I leaned heavily on posted reviews before choosing to stay at this location since I have stayed at numerous "America's Best" establishments throughout the country. Let me say this, "The St. Clairsville/Wheeling location was, by far, the best of all of them: newly renovated; clean; quiet; and, comfortable. The breakfast, which isn't always provided at America's Best, had hot, fresh and individually dispensed coffee (even decaf!); choice of juices; a waffle griddle; and, cereals. The dining area was bright, clean, and spacious. I am glad I ignored the few, erratic grousing reviews I saw prior to booking. Ain't nobody happy sometimes, I guess.

Beds were hard and noisy, but they did the job they were intended for. Air Conditioner would shut off after so many minutes and would take another 5-10 minutes to get it to come back on. Horribly hot in our room, had to leave the door open for a while to get air flow.

Great place ! Room is clean and well equipped (mini fridge, microwave). Everything works properly and staff is friendly. The front desk clerk even remembers me from a week ago which was nice. I would recommend this place to anyone, and will stay again if I’m in the area.

This property is okay, when I arrived the clerk who was a bit rude in my opinion. Said I couldn't use a certain set of Doors but there signs telling me other wise. Me not trying to argue or be a Karen I just said "Okay" and left it at that. The room however was very clean and well kept, bed was nice and comfy, had mattress encasements which is IMPORTANT while you're traveling because of Bed Bugs. I think There needs to be some body wash other than "Facial Soap". However On my last day on a sunday. My spouse and I woke up 30 mins before Breakfast was supposed to end, but when we went into the lobby the front desk person said it was closed at 9, when the sign in our room said it closed at 10AM. The Breakfast needs more variety rather than just Waffles, Cereal and Bread. Fresh Fruit, Eggs and Bacon (if possible), granola bars or anything more really would make the Breakfast experience better.

I liked the hard floors (no carpet) and better lighting than is usually found in motels. The staff was nice and helpful. I thought the cleanliness of the room could be improved a bit, but I have high standards in that area.

Love that everything is updated and seriously looks like a little studio. Came with pots and pans, the dishes weren’t clean upon arrival. They had stains all over the cutlery and inside the pan.
