Nestleton; ontbijt op het balkon of lekker rond het vuur - honden zijn ook welkom

Bekroond met de "Verborgen parel van Dorset 2016" van Aspire Magazine, is Nestleton een prachtige maisonnette met 3 tweepersoonsslaapkamers (plus reiswieg) op de bovenste twee verdiepingen van een Victoriaans huis, met uitzicht op zee, balkon, open haard en binnentuin. De zon stromen naar het balkon en de voorkant van het huis in de ochtend, perfect voor een al fresco ontbijt, en beken in de achterkant van het pand in de avond. De maisonnette heeft een eigen ingang en is toegankelijk via een trap kant. Grote zorg en aandacht is besteed aan de inrichting van de maisonnette in een prachtige romantische Franse stijl en het is slechts 5 minuten wandelen naar Swanage stad met zijn vele cafés en restaurants, gerestaureerde Victoriaanse pier, stoomtrein en lange zandstrand - ideaal voor kinderen. Het is ook een geweldige plek voor water-sportliefhebbers, en heeft een duikschool bij de pier. Durlston land park en het kasteel ligt op slechts 15 minuten lopen en het pand locatie zal dus ook wandelaars die wensen om de Jurassic kustlijn en dit gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid te verkennen aan te passen. Corfe Castle, Studland, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island en Blue Pool om er maar een paar te noemen, zijn allemaal in de nabijheid van Swanage. Kinderen en huisdieren zijn van harte welkom!

Close to town yet quiet

A nice maisonette with a small balcony off the lounge diner with sea view to the left. We had excellent communication with the owner. As we were only there for 4 nights we ate out so didn’t use the cooker just the microwave. Good size fridge freezer and plenty of crockery and cutlery. A few minutes walk into town and the quay area. We always managed to get parked on the street not far away but think it would be more difficult in school holidays. The house was comfortable with good white bedding. The garden are was very overgrown by the path which was a nuisance when the plants were wet.

Winter stay in Swansea

The location was excellent. The property itself was beautifully decorated but with a several maintenance issues that arose it seemed it was more geared for summer rentals. Saying that we had a lovely stay with ample walks nearby and great pubs and restaurants.

Wonderful accommodation in a fantastic location

We stayed here as a group of children and adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed the time and wished we could stay longer. The maisonette is spacious and beautifully decorated. It is a very short walk to shops and the beach. A perfect base for our family holiday.

Half term get away

We wanted a place to stay within walking distance of the beach & town, Nestleton was perfect. Amazing place, beautifully decorated and so close to everything, we never even needed the car! We all enjoyed staying here...loved all the French shabby chic interiors....people with limited mobility may have difficulty with steps and stairs in the property....and there is a steep hill to climb,but that was ok with us.It was very well equipped and the sea views were lovely.The town of Swanage and its surroundings is very interesting..

Lovely House, great Location

A really nicely presented house, we loved the balcony and sitting out in the morning. Just a 200m to the town which had everything we needed and lots of things locally to entertain. Loads of extras like games, video games and TV channels. I'd highly recommend.

Smashing Place to Stay!

Communication from the owner before you arrive is great, you know exactly what to expect & where to locate all the important things cutting down potential stress. The location is good, really close to the town & all it's amenities, a short walk to most places but far enough away from any hussle & bussle. The only down side is the lack of parking but the owner gives handy tips on where to park before you arrive. Inside the property is beautiful with high spec throughout, obviously well loved & maintained by it's custodians it is a lovely place to stay. We were sad to leave.

Fabulous property, with fabulous views and a very friendly owner.

Searching through Vrbo for a last minute family holiday in Dorset we chanced upon this property and knew instantly this is where we wanted to stay. Moira was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the booking process and once arrived we knew we had made a great choice. With a "shabby chic " look the property is full of character and is extremely welcoming. Each room was a delight but the balcony topped it off. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy breakfast outside with great views to the sea, along with watching some very bad drivers try to reverse park on a steep hill! (The parking proved to be no trouble - we were lucky to have a place outside for the whole duration of our stay). Staying in April, it did go cold at night, but the heating is quick and efficient and soon warmed up - we had no need to use the fire but I would imagine that would be so cosy in the winter. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen, except for a lack of tea spoons, but that is hardly a problem! The beds were all very comfortable. We thought the bed in the Master was a memory foam bed, until we realized at the end when stripping the beds that it was actually just a lump of foam - it was so comfy I might just do that at home when mine needs replacing! Now back home, we are already planning on booking a return. Sooner the better I hope.

What a great property!

We had a wonderful stay in this very centrally located property. It really was home from home with everything we needed for our week's holiday. We loved the style and decor and the good bed linens and towels. No complaints and a very warm welcome from the owner - wine, milk and chocolates!

The perfect seaside retreat

We had a wonderful holiday, staying with the whole family, kids and grandparents. The property is perfectly located a few minutes from the high street, beach and pier. Beautiful sunrise and sea views from the balcony and the master bedroom is spacious and serene. It’s really well equipped and the welcome pack is a lovely bonus. On a clear day take a walk through Durlston Country Park to the castle. Studland Beach is heavenly. The Pierhead is a fantastic restaurant.
