Having booked the Hotel shuttle in advance it was nowhere to be seen on arrival. We had to ask a taxi driver to call the Hotel as we didn’t have a mobile network connection. We walked in the heat to a number of sites around the area in front of the airport arrivals to random locations which were suggested as pick-up points. The shuttle never turned up! In the end, some 30 minutes later, we had to pay for a taxi, the cost of which was admittedly refunded by the Hotel after a ‘difficult’ conversation with the receptionist. During the course of the conversation the receptionist let slip that their unmarked shuttle service was not allowed to enter the airport drop off areas that taxis can access - presumably in an effort to avoid paying fees. We requested a shuttle for the following day which eventually turned up some 15 minutes late (after having chased the receptionist twice) and we were dropped off on the periphery of the airport car park, leaving us to drag our 4 cases several hundred yards to the departures building. Not a great experience for seniors who booked partly on the basis of there being an Hotel shuttle service.
