Nice hotel but only if you have seaview
Geplaatst op 4 jun. 2014
The seaview rooms are located on higher floors but do expect the view 80 percent blocked by other hotels in front of you - even at the highest floor. The lower class rooms have city view, which means you are looking at a brick wall without city view. Very noisy as well.
Breakfast is great, hotel crew are very friendly, but do not book this hotel if
You want to be within 10 minutes walking of shopping, restaurants area..you can take a trolly to get to the best part of waikiki, but the shuttle only runs till about 10 pm
You want to be close to the best beach of waikiki, which is at least a mile nortth
The normal taxi rate fron hnl airport is 45 usd, but hyatt has a special agreement with charlie taxi which cost 29 usd if booked through the hyatt
There is a car parking at the hotel for 18 usd, but when we arrivee at the hotel the parking space was only for valet parking which is 28 usd. However there is a public parking where you need to pay at entering the garage for 15 usd per day. It is on kuhuo street just 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
Take a trolly to hawaiian village Hilton which is 2 dollar a person. The beach is the very best of waikiki and this us also the hotel where elvis stayed several times while making Blue Hawaii and preparung for the Aloha From Hawaii Concert which was broadcasted by satellite in 1973 which was viewed by more than 1 billion people!
Next to the Hilton is the Ilikai hotel, famous for the opening scene if hawaiian 5 0

Just to clarify, our ocean view rooms are not just located on higher floors and city view rooms are located on both lower and higher floors in both the Pali and Diamond towers. We regret if you experienced any disruptive noise during your stay, and hope you communicated this to our team. Although we are off the main strip in Waikiki, we are still conveniently located near most shopping, dining and entertainment. We hope to welcome you back on your next return to Waikiki!
