'Great breakfast with a fresh fruit salad! Very nicely refurbished rooms to mid-century style. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking, but still verry comfortable. Public area with a nice fire place. All in all a very nice motel!'

'Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ...

'Great little place if you’re in Wilmington for bike racing'

'The owner was extremely kind and helpful and he was interested in the countries the guests were from. The room was clean and well-kept, the beds comfortable , the decor rustic and authentic. The breakfast was limited (eg no bagels or bread) but a muffin or muesli-bar and a good cup of coffee from the lobby were enough to get started.'

'This recently renovated hotel is a gem, perfectly located near both Lake Placid (12 minutes) and Whiteface (5 minutes). The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). A fantastic choice for convenience and excellent service!'

'We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again.'

'Onze kamer, nr.6, deed erg benauwd aan (laag plafond, erg groot dressoir in de kamer waar je niets mee kunt). Gedeelde badkamer zeer klein, geen mogelijkheid om je was spullen neer te zetten. Vloer zeer schuin, huis is erg oud. Aan het onbijt wordt veel aandacht gegeven. Je kan opgeven wat je wilt en het wordt vers voor je bereid.'
