This experience has been a very BAD joke played on me by Holiday Inn Long Beach. IT began with Yvette the staff supervisor who seriously needs lessons in customer service.
I was told the incorrect time for the opening of the restaurant@530p. I heard her tell the guest ahead of me it opened at 500p. I later
Confirmed the time calling the restaurant . It was 500p. Needless to say Yvette finalized her botched checkin by assigning me a room directly in front of the elevator, room 515. I went back downstairs and requested a better room with a different associate. Upon arriving at the restaurant there was no host at the podium. I noticed a server standing inside and so we made eye contact. He looked at me as if to ask what do you want.I jestered and walked towards him saying may I come in and he said yes. I placed my order and he left. He brought me glass of water. Five minutes later a cup of coffee. Usually servers ask when do you want coffee but he did not. Ten minutes later I received salad and the entree at the same time. Both items were placed on the edge of the table. I ate the salad first . Halfway finished I touched the plate and it was 🔥. Hot! Several minutes passed when he came by my table. Having left no spoon for me to have my soup I ask for a to go carton. He came back with the container and left. Came again to ask if I wanted dessert. I said no ,ask for the check, and to PLEASE bring me a plastic spoon for the soup!!! Diasterous indeed.
