Anniversary Getaway
The property needs a good painting and the floor should be covered with a nice Pergo finish not painted plywood. The owner should state that the bottom half of the house is not available to the guests and that they cannot use the wood stove in the living room.

Wonderful and peaceful time in the forest
The house was everything I had hoped for and more. My husband and I loved walking the trails on the property and around the pond along with exploring the town of Bradford (Fairway is an impressive store, and the deli is very tasty!). My favorite parts were kayaking around the small pond, playing croquet on the lawn, having coffee on the porch and watching the stars from it, too. We did hear a coyote howl and growl several times across the pond when we set up a campfire one night, and we promptly put the fire out with a few buckets of water and went back inside! (I read later that coyotes hardly ever attack, but it was scary at the time in the pitch dark!) The house was overall wonderfully stocked and had lots of towels and blankets, plus having a full kitchen was a delight. My only minor complaint was that there were a few insects and spiders in the house (and a few found their way to my neck when lounging on the couch) but that is totally expected of a house in the woods... So it's pretty minor and didn't bother me too much. Overall I had a wonderful time and would love to visit again!!

A Wonderful Cabin In Bradford
The house was well kept and a great location for the town of Bradford. It’s seriously a hidden gem with plenty of space for a family. The kitchen was well stocked and there is plenty of things to do with kids/adults. The grill was a great addition for cooking. I am seriously looking forward to coming back to stay when visiting family in Vermont.

End of summer getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in the woods. We relaxed in the porch and the pond. We took long walks on the dirt road. We enjoyed watching the birds and the wildlife. The weather was perfect for enjoying this beautiful woodlands setting

Great Vacation
My family and I had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Treehouse. My kids spent hours on the trails, at the outdoor firepit, in and around the pond, and in the woods. A great place to relax and recharge while spending time in nature. Great communication from the owners and property manager. Plus, quick drive to town and close to lots of hikes. We had a terrific visit.

The house is nice and the location is very pretty. As stated in the description, the house is located on several acres. I mentioned one improvement to the owner as a suggestion for the future and that would be blinds that could be closed at night in the den/kitchen area.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax during the rainy days. When the weather was nicer we enjoyed the property - sipping coffee on the deck, walking the trails, and kayaking in the pond. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Getaway
We had a wonderful stay. It rained every day, but we were able to take walks along the peaceful dirt road and around the property between the rain storms. We completed two puzzles and read several books. Watching the rain fall on the pond was beautiful. The hosue was comfotable and had everything we needed. It was a treat kayak on the pond and enjoy the woodland property. We will be back!

This property is very well equipped, and the host thoyght of everything. There are beautiful views from every window and sitting on the deck was a wonderful respite. Thank you for labeling all the light switches that is a big help. It would also be helpful to put another safety tape at the top of the stairs in the loft. Overall, we had such a good time, it was the perfect location We also loved your Henkel cutlery set. Still can’t get over those amazing knives.

Fantastic woodland getaway!
Absolutely delightful! We rented this as an anniversary getaway, and had a lovely time exploring the trails and stargazing on the deck. Quite secluded -- there's a road along the front of the property that gets very little traffic. Very comfortable and spacious indoors -- exceptionally well-appointed kitchen (you genuinely won't need to bring anything, unlike most other rentals we've experienced). Every bit as charming as the photos suggest. Highly recommended.

The tree house was perfect for our weekend getaway. There is so much land to explore and my kids loved trying to climb Big Bertha, collecting sticks, making a fire, searching for frogs, and doing laps on the pond in the kayak. It was so nice for them to have so much room to explore with us looking on from the deck. Amazing night's sleep on the firm Queen bed on the main level, great communication with Morgan, and everything there that we needed. Highly recommend!

Great Location
We stayed for a month and loved the location. Set in the trees and off the beaten path loved the peace and quite. Tremendously relaxing. It was great to arrive and see all the trees green then change colors daily. The town of Bradford is small but has several good places to eat and a very good supermarket. Town is centrally located so touring Vermont and New Hampshire is easy. Cabin is well equipped.

Love the treehouse!
We had the BEST stay at this house. The kids didn’t want to leave! They loved canoeing in the pond and hunting for frogs. We saw wild turkeys, enjoyed coffee on the deck, s’mores by the fire, and playing pretend with the big ship wheel in the loft. Cozy beds, everything you need, and Morgan is the friendliest, most helpful person. We would love to come back!

Great getaway
The property fantastic with it's pond full of turtles, frogs, crayfish and nice walking paths. There's lots of great hiking nearby, as well as a great place to pick your own apples. Driving around the surrounding area yields fantastic views and for convenience there is a supermarket not 10 minutes from the house. Would highly recommend!

Tremendous Tree House!
We so enjoyed our stay at the Tree House! The property is exactly as described and was everything we were hoping for. Remote yet close enough to Bradford for provisions, the Tree House is perfect for relaxing. Lots of couches invite you to stretch out and read or nap, the deck demands that you linger, and the spring-fed pond beckons you to swim, boat, or watch the many creatures who visit--from the busy kingfishers to the turtle. Bring binoculars so you can get a good view of them! When the stars come out, the sky glimmers. We found our host and property manager to be friendly, kind, and responsive. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return!

Perfect Vermont vacation
Special thanks to Morgan for jumping our car the first night! The weather was perfect. We canoed on the pond everyday and our son loved catching the crayfish. We ate blueberries and black raspberries from bushes by the house and had fires outside each night. The beds and linens were comfy and deck was great. Notes about the house - don’t expect long hot showers, and the loft wall is precariously short. Just fyi. No problem for us though. There’s no need to leave the amazing property, but we enjoyed a trip to Harvey’s Lake to swim, and to the bookstore in Bradford. Go to Four Corners Farms for all your food. They grow everything they sell and it was all amazing, fruit, veg, meat, milk, cheese. Our time at the tree house was all bird song and frog chirps and peace. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks to Steve for sharing your wonderful retreat.

The pond was smaller than expected. I felt the photos appeared to be a bit deceiving. The floor in the house is painted over wood. Upon getting ready for bed we noticed one of the beds dirty it contained beads so we had one less bed to use on top of the beds being extremely uncomfortable. Nearby neighbors heard blasting the music throughout the night. The water gets very hot at times or it didn’t even get warm ( I experienced a lot of cold water). Lighting could be a little brighter in the house at night but has a lot of natural light during the day… Went to make coffee and the coffee pot contained coffee grounds and coffee from previous guest. I was a bit disappointed with my experience. Overall, it was an okay getaway. The property is close to towns; easy enough to travel to other locations that are a little further away. Spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the hustle of nature. Cell Service was great so staying connected to GPS was very helpful.

Thank you for your review. There are 3 beds to choose from in The Treehouse each with a different level of firmness. The queen bed in the main floor bedroom has a new firm latex foam mattress that conforms to your body and most guests find very comfortable and supportive. The two beds in the upstairs loft have spring mattresses that are less firm. We have not had issues with the neighbors being too loud in the evening but Morgan, our property manager, is available via text or phone call to address this or any other issue including any housekeeping or water issue. We encourage communication and respond immediately to each and every concern which is brought to us. The housekeeping issues have been addressed. We believe the painted floors fit well with the combination of rustic and elegant features of this unique Vermont house. The pond is a beautiful half acre pond as mentioned in the property description on our website and has brought joy to many of our guests. We strive to continually make improvements and upgrades at The Treehouse and appreciate your input.

My husband and I were looking to escape regular day life for a couple days and spend quality time just the two of us. The treehouse definitely delivered! Long Weekend Getaway
My husband and I loved this property. The house is beautiful, convenient, and extremely comfortable. The house is fully stocked, the bed is super comfortable, and there’s a great deck to sit and relax. They had a great dvd collection and games for staying in on rainy days as well. The property manager was extremely helpful, very attentive, and made our trip comfortable and relaxing. The property owner was also great, responded quickly, and provided all information. It’s a cozy and comfortable house to unwind.

Wonderful trip
Our family stayed for a long weekend in the tree house. The eclectic mix of modern and antique furnishings immediately made us feel warm and welcomed. Morgan, the property manager, was efficient, knowledgeable, funny, and patient, while giving us advice and directions through the area. Our climb of Wrights mountain left nothing to be desired. We raced canoes in the pond, explored the trails onsite, and marveled at the boat house. We couldn't have been happier with our hosts, accommodations, or trip as a whole. Quintessential Vermont Vacation Property
We thoroughly enjoyed this property and spent twelve (12) days relaxing and getting to know the local area. We went fishing in several local lakes and ponds, visited the Simon Pearce Glass Blowing Factory, explored Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves, experienced local restaurants (highly recommend Colatina Exit and The Little Grille), and went to Hanover NH to see my father's alma mater (Dartmouth). No amount of Peleton (I cycle 90+ miles a week) or the fact that my husband quit smoking (after 40+ years, stopped a few months ago) and he was already in good physical shape could have compensated for our ages (59 & 60) at Lost River :-)! It was so much fun, especially for me as I am petite.... But - after crawling through the 4th or 5th cave, we definitely felt our age. By then I was determined to go through every cave anyway! The best part of this place was that we were greeted by a majestic, beautiful doe as we pulled into the driveway, the vacation home was true to the description & pictures, and the property manager & the owner responded immediately to any questions and were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property!!

Inviting Tucked Away Retreat
We had a lovely stay as our group was lodging for a motorcycle rally event across the river in New Hampshire. The property was very comfortable and clean and the living space was nicely apportioned. What a gem!
This house has it all if you want to get away from it all. The owner and his property manager could not have been more accommodating from before the trip till after we checked out. The trails, the pond, the grounds all amazing. We will be back to this gem in the woods. I could not recommend this place more. The pond was a great place to relax, swim and kayak. Although you feel secluded, the town is only 5 min away with a surprisingly great Italian restaurant ( and I’m a Italian food snob from Brooklyn). The perfect Vermont get away.

The Perfect Getaway
Imagine living in a forest within the canopy of leaves. That's exactly what awaits you at this "Treehouse". Every window holds a picture-perfect view of various types of trees. It's really amazing. We stayed for about 6 weeks and miss it already. Brothers Steve and Glenn are the perfect hosts, responding quickly to our needs and providing great conversation. The home is just as beautiful as the photos. We know you will enjoy this unique and wonderful getaway experience.

Wonderful stay with lots to do!
We came up to Vermont to visit family and some r&r. This by far was one of the best properties we have booked through VRBO. Easy booking, clean, beautiful, peaceful, restful, and just plain amazing. Loved taking the boats out on the pond and watching the birds from the porch in the morning while enjoying our coffee. Comfy accommodations and everything you need within a 10-15 minute drive. We highly recommend this property!

Family retreat
My family has been staying at this wonderful property on/off for a decade. We’ve seen it evolve beautifully with new walking trails, scenic deck views and more indoor comforts. My kids love the loft area- in case you find a random paper airplane- it was them. They run to and spend hours on the rope swing and pond in good weather. They like to visit the big chair at Farmway and walking the path to Quechee Gorge less than 40 mins away. This year we saw 2 Bald Eagles! A trip to Ben and Jerry’s rounds out their fun, but we drive through various small towns and pick up coffee and/or craft beer as well as VT’s finest maple syrup as far as Underhill. It’s worth the trip! Our favorite is just relaxing under the millions of stars you can see from the fire pit in the front yard of this unique storybook home. Thanks for allowing my family to stay in your family’s gorgeous home. Sven and Glenn are very communicative and available when you need them, and leave you to your private retreat when you don’t. Hoping for another decade of enjoying this great place.
