Great long weekend
We stayed here during a long weekend of visiting Keeneland, horse farms, and bourbon distilleries. We couldn't have been happier with the decision. The place was in a great location. It was such a unique and beautiful property. The views of the farm in the morning were great to wake up to and the owners were easy to communicate with.

Cozy getaway with a view
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property is exactly as listed. We woke up to watching the sunrise over the field with the autumn trees in the back. The fire pit was nice and we used it the second night. We had all we needed and would book again.

Spectacular Views
Darley View was amazing! Very well stocked and the amenities surpassed our expectations. We loved having wine and bourbon on the patio deck watching the sun set. The fire pit was perfect for the cold nights. Great for a couple’s getaway. We hope to be back.

Wonderful horse country getaway!
Charming accommodations in a beautiful setting. Close to Keeneland, the Kentucky Horse Park and the Bourbon Trail. Tom was a wonderful host and gave us several great recommendations for places to go and things to do in the area. Had a fantastic experience!

Great transformation of a barn/garage. The owners turned the space into a fabulous guest house. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of horse farm. Very tranquil. Owners are very nice and accessible.

Perfect Birthday Getaway!
My husband and I chose this property because of the views, the beauty of the backyard and how gorgeous the pictures of the house were. I've never been more impressed!!! the pictures do not do the property justice! When we arrived it was a beautiful afternoon, we enjoyed resting in the hammock in the back yard. There was a birthday balloon and some chocolate/bourbon liqueur from the host. The upstairs of the house was my favorite part with windows to see the views of the next door horse farm. The ceiling is vaulted and makes the room feel huge. The bed is so comfortable and the sheets are divine! The towels are all monogrammed and they have a basket of random supplies you may have forgotten, razor, feminine hygiene products, etc. They also left chocolates by the bed. Having a fire is one of my favorite things in the world and the host had fire starter and lighters as well as wood in the fire pit!!! I would most def stay here again. It was the most perfect weekend!!

We wanted a short weekend and accommodations in the country in Lexington.. Darley view fit the bill. We had lived in ky when my husband studied for his PhD many years ago. We had not forgotten how beautiful it was though and sitting outside in the evening watching the four horses in the pasture was peaceful and charming. The decor in the property, horse themed, had been well thought out. The upstairs bedroom area was stunning. I especially like the colors that made the room, and again horse photos. It was nice to be back in Lexington and enjoyed our stay at delightful Darley View.

My new happy place!
This is the most wonderful place to stay. My significant other and I decided to do a workaction in Lexington to get away from it all during Covid and found this gem of a place! You won't believe the incredible view of the neighboring horse farm. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. Waking up to the rolling hills and gorgeous horses grazing in the distance is so amazing! The location is great. We enjoyed the Bourbon Trail, golf, hiking, UK and downtown Lexington. Highly recommend a stay here. The owner is fantastic and the home stocked with everything you can possibly need. Can't wait to come back!

Not as private as pictures show
We wanted a secluded and private escape and didn’t get that with this property. The owners live in the house a few yards away that shares the same driveway and backyard. I didn’t see that in the notes on the listing and it doesn’t show up in the pictures. For the price, I would not have booked knowing this. If this doesn’t bother you, the house we stayed in was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. It’s a central location for exploring the area and close to everything you need. Check in and check out was easy. Owners we nice and helpful.

Charming Inn
We went to the Kentucky Derby this past May and as part of our tour package, we visited Keeneland. We liked the track and location and learned about the Fall Horse Racing in October so we decided to book a trip. We wanted to find a location close to the track as well as something that would immerse us in the whole "horse country" feel. We found this gem of an Inn with a fantastic view of a horse farm. The home is so perfectly appointed with horse country décor and is so unique with one-of-a-kind furnishings including the magnificent bedroom on the upper level that gives you your own private balcony to look out over the pastures of the horse farm. The owners are very generous with their amenities and provide many items to use with their high end appliances. There were many special touches including a magnificent bed with SOFT linens and a heated bathroom floor! The upstairs also had it's own bar and refrigerator (and a snack basket) but there is only one TV in the upstairs. You can turn the TV to face the couch and ottoman in the suite which was important to us as we are avid football fans. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. We had so much fun during our stay that we will definitely return and hope to book this property again.

We had a pleasant stay at Keeneland because our stay at Darley View Cottage feels like home.
Darley View Cottage was like home for us because it have everything you need like in your home and close to every store, mall or restaurant. Tom and María were the perfect hosts. Thank you!!

Anyone staying here should know this is a one bedroom place - not two bedrooms. And the sofa couch in the living room certainly does not count as a second bedroom - it had broken springs and was not usable for sleep. A claustrophobic loft with a high ladder open to the bedroom had a bed but couldn’t even sit up in it. Also I feel I was charged for three nights, not two.

I checked with the VRBO Booking console and you without question booked ,paid and stayed two nights. That was easily verifiable with 100% certainty. As far the discomfort of a roll out bed for a last minute extra guest, I think a 3 star review would seem more credible considering the consensus of the hundreds of people who have stayed here and have left glowing 5 star reviews. No one has remotely been unhappy. Leaving a one star review and making the claims that you did makes you look a little cranky and mean spirited.

If you are looking to relax and enjoy the view, this is the place. Excellent property, very convenient to Keeneland. Good location for good eats and shopping. But again, the view. Sunset on the deck was spectacular. We would return to this property.

Horse Lovers Dreamy Digs
Our weekend at the Darley View was wonderful. Such a comfortable slice of horsey heaven! Three of us horse friends were visiting Lexington to attend the Land Rover Three Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park. We had fun immersing ourselves in the total "Equine" theme during the entire weekend. The property is uniquely tucked into the edge of the Darley horse farm, and every window had a magnificent view of the fence-lines horse pastures. Every detail of the Darley View property was top notch. We truly hated to leave, and have hopes of returning to stay again soon. Thanks Tom for sharing your dreamy house on VRBO!

I had a wonderful stay at Darley View Inn! The property is beautiful, and the owners have thought of everything that guests could ever need to make their stay enjoyable. Truly breathtaking vacation
I LOVED this rental. The property is spectacular and the interior is more beautiful than the photos. There were so many lovely touches, sliding barn door for the bathroom, beautiful bedding and furnishings and sitting outside on 2 beautiful evenings under the stars with a roaring fire in the firepit made this stay one of my favorite vacation rentals ever. There are detailed books about Lexington history and the photo album of this property from beginning to end is indicative of the amount of pride and love that is in Darley View. Tom is a wonderful host, friendly and hospitable. I wish my flight hadn't been so early, I would have loved one more morning on the farm but it gives me something to look forward to on my next KY visit. If this is available for your time frame, book it. This one is really special.

Wonderful Escape!
We stayed at Darley View last weekend. The Inn was beautiful with wonderful scenery. The King size bed also had an excellent mattress. The owner also thought of all the necessities that you might forget; make-up remover, toothbrush and paste. He also spoiled us by having two coffee makers; one upstairs in the master suite and the other in the kitchen. They both came with an assortment of coffees, cocoas, and snacks! Darley View's interior decor was beautiful. The kitchen contained everything you would need for a very long stay and desired to cook. Next time we visit Lexington we will stay here again! We can't wait to sit outside, drink coffee, and absorb all the gorgeous beauty!

The Best, Most Relaxing Home, nestled right in the middle of horse country!!
Tom and Maria's "Darley View", meets your every need. This home is decorated beautifully and I felt like I was staying in an equestrian home. I am a lover of thoroughbred horse racing, I could not get enough of the artwork, photos, and the best books about horse racing. Great property with Excellent Owner/Operator
Took the family over to Lexington for a long weekend. Highly recommend this property and owner. Toured Taylor Made Farms (also recommended) and visited Keenland for a day at the track. The property has access to gas grill and fire pit (owner had all the necessities to make smores waiting for us when we arrived!) Located right next to the famed Darley Thoroughbred farm. Thank you Tom...we'll be back and definitely refer our family and friends.

My husband, another couple and I had a fabulous long weekend at Darley View.
