The room was spacious and clean. The A/C was not cooling the room as it should. But overall it is a nice hotel very very close to the US embassy. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the room was clean, comfortable, and good lighting. I would return.

Excelent to go to US Embassy. Good shower, hot water, staff very friendly. Don’t go for tourist, just to go to US embassy. Because the traffic congestion in the Republic of Colombia st is terrible

Short Stay For U.S Embassy Business
The hotel is clean but basic, the room was clean as well as the bathroom. The rooms do have a small refrigerator but no microwave which would have been nice due to lack of food options in the area. We had to use the local food delivery service for food. However the hotel did serve basic need of being close to the U.S Embassy for an early morning interview. The traffic in the area is beyond ridiculously. If you plan on driving or taking uber give yourself a lot of extra time!. Especially with uber. We had several drivers cancel on us due to the traffic. The U.S. Embassy is walking distance approximately 20 minutes however I will not advise this due to lack of sidewalks. Overall the is great for a short stay.

I want to write this review for those who are going to the embassy(Emb). I was there for my stepson 3 days ago.This hotel is almost like a Motel but is not as bad. 10min from "emb." Lots of traffic so go at least 1hr before appt. The hotel will ask for a taxi for you but as there is so much traffic they might cancel. you can use your uber app for taxis too but do it with time they cancel as well. We had to walk and get a motor taxi as there was nothing available. the girls tried. we were running late. the staff was really, really great in helping. There is a very good breakfast. No continental. You have to ask for it at the front desk or the girls that work there. Please tip them. They serves from 6:30 Am. you have to go to the eating area afte YOU asked to be serve( which is a very nice and beautiful area to eat, is like restaurant type and it has a nice backyard for those who smoke.) (WIFI is GREAT)to eat for the rest of the day download the app "Pedidos Ya" is like doordash. You have the option to pay cash or use your card. Must restaurant close at 10Pm. Do not walk by yourself around the are. Is dangerous. Ask the receptionist for anything. the taxis will come inside n drop u back inside. if bored, take a taxi to the various mall, Blue mall, Plaza Central, agora, plaza 360. Good food, stores great clothing to buy and things to buy. The food, is the best. You can use your Uber app to request a taxi back or taxi that are from the mall. Older person better for safety.

The staff was terrible wanted to charge more than what it was. The room smell bad and it had an air conditioning that doesn’t work and was older than my grandma. The complimentary breakfast never existed.

El staff es atento, pero las atenciones no corresponden al precio que se está pagando por noche. Si buscan referencias turísticas en el lobby, no la encontrarán. The hotel wasn’t that bad but just did not have a variety of amenities and my room’s fridge and AC made an annoying sound that did not allowed us to sleep. The few amenities they had weren’t even working properly.

There’s no lunch or dinner available. Location is noisy at the early morning due to the proximity of a main road and high car/ truck traffic. No elevator. Wifi is ok. One Chinese restaurant close to the hotel and no international credit cards accepted or usd. So make sure you have Dominacan Pesos.

If you are on a one night business trip, this is a good choice. It is a very utilitarian hotel so no frills. Excellent location to walk to the embassy. Not good for a vacation hotel due to no amenities in area, thin walls and traffic noise.

High traffic area, mold in the bathtub, improper bath tub curtain, could clearly hear everything in the neighboring rooms, practically nonexistent restaurant with a bad menu, bad controls for the lighting.

It was the closest hotel to La Isabela Airport to get my early flight. Checked in late, staff were very helpful assisting me to make some urgent phone calls. Also they arranged a Taxi to pick me up at 5:30am. Very clean comfortable room, very agreeable short stay. Would stay there again.

This hotel is really old but it’s the closest one to the US Consulao I did not enjoy my stay here the AC stopped working completely in the middle of the night it was Horrible and the receptionist was no help the night we got there

I was there just bc is close to the embassy, but i think is over price, and really do not worth it the rate. Plus i have not hot water and woke up sweating in the middle of the night bc the ac just off. The good thing is close to the embassy and not heard noises. The staff are nice!

I liked that it is close to the US Embassy and that it was not crowded. I did not like the fact that I was told by the Expedia booking agent that both of my rooms would have queen sized beds but they both had full sized beds instead.

The area was busy so it made it noisy booked a queen size bed arrived to full size bed at check-in the where not expecting me and had no idea what hotel. Com was i had to pull up an email several times ac did not turn on and off had to unplug it i was expecting better quality for the price especially in that area and part of the country.

I booked the room and had conformation paper that the room was for 2 adults and 1 child, lady at the front desk at check told me i owe $100.00 for the child yet, i said the room was booked for 2 adults and a child, she did not believe me until i showed her the itinerary. we only had reservations for one night, next morning as we where packing to leave roaches were running around on the bed.

Hotel was undergoing renovations. Bathroom fixtures needs to be upgraded. Friendly and courteous staff. Overall a good experience and a 5 minute ride away from the US Embassy.

WORST HOTEL / CUSTOMER
I could resume this hotel experience as the worst ever. I am a frequent traveler for business and leisure purpose I have been in a lot of hotels at different countries, but this experience has been awful. Just to mention a few highlights of our stay: 1. No customer service nor guest services at all. Actually they don't know the meaning for those words. The supervisor that the hotel has, Ms. Muriel, was never available nor willing to talk to guests. She needs to be trained to manage people since that's the heart of her industry and tourists. We called her more than 3 weeks prior to arrival and she never returned call. 2. Hotel premises had no food nor beverage option. Breakfast was supposed to be available 6:30 am and we left the property at 6:50 am and no breakast was ready. 3. Neighborhood is very dangerous; you CAN NOT walk around. 4. Bathroom dirty. Rooms smelled like old. 5. Property has not facility for handicapped. No elevators at all. None of us are handicapped and still was tough to carry luggage thru stairs. For last, we choose property since it was near the Embassy of the US, but I will share this info so people could be advise. The problem for this is the poor supervisor personnel who is NOT doing her work and/or don't know to manage her responsibility as well. Remember that your industry depends on the good customer, service and guest relations.

Ms Axel, In answer to your review on hotels.com. You forgot to mention a few things about your stay in Micro Hotel you forgot to let people know that you had a party of 4 people only made a reservation for three people on Expedia.com when you arrived at Micro Hotel at 10.40 pm you informed the receptionist that the 4th person was staying with family near by and you wanted to check in first and then take them to where they were going. You made a reservation for 2 double room at our hotel on ------with hotels.com. You then called the hotel and asked if 4 people could share a double room. You were informed that 3 people could share a double room & you could make a reservation for a single room. After this conversation you proceeded to go on to hotels.com and canceled your reservation for 2 double rooms. After this you went to the Expedia.com website and made a reservation for Micro Hotel 1 double room for 3 people and 1 single room for 1 person later that day you canceled the reservation for the single room. On the 31st of March your party of 4 people arrived in the hotel at 10.40 You told the receptionist that the fourth person was staying with family near by but you were going to check into your room first, come down and leave again. All 4 people went up stairs checked into your room and as protocol the receptionist called your room thirty minutes after you settled in to make sure everything was up to standard for you and if you needed anything. Everything for you was fine. More time has gone by and the receptionist called your room to know if the 4th person in your party was staying because if they were they needed to come down stairs check into another room and register in the hotel. No one came down stairs either to check in and register or leave. After more time has passed the receptionist called again, again, and again 10 times in all. The last phone call to your room you were advised that security was going to be called. Your response was oh no they are going to check in. They were checked into to room106 at 1.49am you were in 107. Along with our cameras We do have documentation to prove your deceatfulness. It is hotel policy that everyone staying in the hotel has to register at the front desk according to the law and insurance purposes there are also capacity restrictions for every room as you were made aware of in a conversation over the telephone after your original reservation. In the event of an accident or a situation in the hotel. Micro Hotel has to account for every guest and employee in the hotel. We apologize to you if we inconvenienced you for you and the employees safety & security. But we will let the readers that are reading this statement make up there mind of your real intentions of what you were trying to achieve. We have cameras all over the hotel not just for our own security but the security of the guest and employees alike. When we checked our cameras you left the hotel the next morning 1st of April just before 6am not 6.50am like you said in your review you arrived back at the hotel at 10.30am after breakfast was over, the manager Murial instructed the restaurant staff to serve ye breakfast even though the restaurant was closed in which they did serve all your party breakfast. You then checked out with the manager Murial who was behind the reception desk. Cameras also revealed the truth that the manager Murial did have interactions with you during the duration of your stay. In your review you mentioned she was not available. All of our clients that have appointments with the American Embassy have breakfast if they don't have time before they leave for the Embassy they have it when they come back just like you and your party. Complementary late check out is also extended to our American Embassy guest from 12 noon to 2pm. We do value all our guests and work with them to fill there needs. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests for choosing Micro Hotel. When you arrived to our hotel the restaurant was closed at 10pm as do most restaurants in hotels close at this time. We do have a bar where all sort of beverages & snacks are available 24 hours. You mentioned in your review nothing available. Yes it is true we don't have an elevator yet to accommodate handicapped guests. We are a small independent hotel we don't have the backing of a large chain hotel or do we reflect the charges of a large chain hotel. We have come a long way since we opened our doors in 2009 always improving, extending & yes our elevator shaft is awaiting for its elevator to take its place at Micro Hotel. And Yes We have had the honor of hosting some handicapped & very sick guests at Micro Hotel. They are always very grateful and thankful for the care and services they received for eg receiving complementary room service for the duration of their stay. You mentioned we did not know the meaning of guest services. We are very proud of the cleanliness of our room & bathrooms at Micro Hotel we make it out priority. Ms Axel, I have yet to meet a person well traveled for business & leisure to behave & act in this manner as you have. Lastly you mentioned the hotel is in a bad area and as you also said yourself in your review the hotel is very near the American Embassy so is the American Embassy in a bad area as well. Micro Hotel thanks all its loyal guest over the years and it is your support that have brought us a long way we look forward to seeing and serving you at the best of our ability in the future and are looking forward to making new ones. My fiancé and I stayed here because we had an early morning appt at the U.S. Consulate. The hotel is small but the room was clean, the water was nice and hot and AC was nice and cold. The only small issue was that someone walked in while I was naked and about to go in the shower but they immediately walked out . There was a problem with the TV remote ad they immediately came but weren't able to repair. Overall if needed I would stay at this location again without thinking about it twice but my biggest complaint was that there is absolutely no restaurants around this area, we walked about half a mile, crossed the dangerous busy streets and no luck finding anywhere to eat,so you are better off bringing food and drinks for the room, if not you will starve.

There was no view
Squeaky Bed, pillow hard. Nobody around to assist me for water, coffee or beverage. Had to step out to purchase. Hotel is not what I expected. Also very very humid.
