Umpqua House Trip
Pros: Great location on the river, beautiful surroundings Kitchens had all that was needed. Plenty of plates, utensils and cooking items. Showers were very satisfying, and the beds were comfortable. Lots of parking space. Had fun fishing from the dock. Cons: We were disappointed in the floors as they were not very clean. The entry doors were covered with stains, should be cleaned. We found some trash items from previous renters. Kitchen faucet leaked badly, spilling water onto the floor.

Overall I would recommend this house. It was comfortable and had plenty of room. We loved the location on the River and proximity to the coast. I would say there could have been more cleaning supplies for us to use. We felt like we had to ration them. The bed in the master bedroom in House A needs tightened too.

Lovely House On The River
We enjoyed the house very much. It felt very private and serene. The river view in the morning and evening was beautiful. The space was plentiful for our group. The floor could be swept and cleaned better prior to check in. Everything else was clean and perfect. We thoroughly enjoy the stay.

Excellent location especially riverfront!
I loved this place to stay. It was bit confusing initially whether garage was available for parking and entry points to get in to home. But, overall it's a good place to stay and riverfront was amazing. My family and friends, we had a good time together.

Beautiful spot!
Loved the house, the river, and the surrounding Umpqua vibe. If you love drinking your morning, coffee while watching bald eagles soar overhead, you will love this house!

Awesome House
This house is awesome, the property is just as pictured. Big lawn area for Corn Hole. The bedrooms all worked out fantastic for the 8 of us and our two dogs. The only bummer was the dock/beach area. Looks like some bad flooding or rain damage got it. The dock looked new but a little sketchy on the first few feet. The boys enjoyed fishing off the dock. The power went out for a few hours due to a logging truck hitting a pole. It was all good and the owner kept in touch. We would certainly return for a repeat vacation and stay longer.

Family Vacation for New Years
This was by far the most enjoyable family vacation we have ever taken. The houses are beautiful and well stocked with everything needed to cook and enjoy each other, while providing privacy for those who just wanted to read or nap. The location is amazing. We plan to go again some Summer or Fall when we can take advantage of the River activities more. The Coast is so close so we spent a couple of day trips there and played tourist. Had some great food at Mo's in Florence and did some shopping. I cannot recommend this property more. Only a few minor issues during check in. The alternate directions on our email were incorrect. We were told to use Main Street because Scottsburg Road West was closed when actually it was the opposite. When we finally arrived at 4:30 the housekeeper had not finished and we were not able to unpack until 6:00 when she finally finished. I called the property Manager about the directions and got no return call. None of this mattered however and we had a wonderful time.

Everything was lovely and the only complaint is that the dick ramp is extremely steep and slippery. Plus no hand soap to be found so make sure to bring some. Other than that, plenty of space, indoor/outdoor seating, the fire pit area is beautiful, overall we were very pleased and would definitely go back.

Wonderful River Vacation Home
We have stayed at many rental homes, and this is one of the best. The home was well furnished and well supplied in every room. Lots of kitchen supplies, bathroom/towel supplies, storage/hangers and river toys. Thank you! Good beds and plenty of space for everyone to hang out- inside and outside. The location and river access is just great. The dogs loved the big back yard and the quiet access road for walks. It was our second time staying here, and I am happy to see that the owners have been improving the place! The new dock is beautiful - two suggestions: add non-slip surfaces to the ramps, and either make the dock ladder more secure or leave instructions to remove the ladder when the dock is not in use. The ladder comes off very easily - both when in use, and also just with the wind/tide. Easy access to the beach and dunes. Highly recommend.

Fun family time
We had a great time with family. We enjoyed playing in the river each day and lots of good food and drink plus a couple of campfires. Weather was pretty much perfect, and the beds were comfortable. The house can get a little warm on hot days but usually a breeze from some direction and there are lots of windows and doors. The house and property could use a little TLC but we had everything we needed. The kayaks were a pleasant surprise that we didn’t know about until we received check in info. All in all a great place for wonderful family memories. Thank you!

Perfect week at the river
This was an absolutely wonderful family vacation. The house is very comfortable and perfect for two families with small kids. We had so much fun playing around the large property and kayaking and swimming in the river. Can’t wait to come back!

Awesome place for large family gathering!
Had the most amazing week at the Umpqua Riverfront Paradise house for a family reunion. I can’t say enough about how much we all enjoyed our time here. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy each other. House was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. Beds were all very comfortable. There was plenty of space on the large decks to relax outside with each other both in the sun and shaded. The large fenced property had so much space for the children and dogs to run and play safely. The dock was very nice but it was a little steep getting to it. That said, the family went fishing every day and caught so many fish! The kayaks were great. There were enough plastic chairs to sit out on the dock but a few were broken and not usable. I’ve not seen so many different birds in a long time. So many hummingbirds and quail! One little word of caution. One person found a tick on them during the week so make sure to either bring repellant or check yourselves after walking through the grass. There was also excellent communication by the host. All questions were answered promptly. I could go on, but I’d be repeating all the wonderful things already pointed out by previous renters. Bottom line is that the place is amazing, we all had an awesome time, and we would love to go back and stay there again.

Perfect for tranquillity
This is such a wonderful property. Huge yard. Our doggies loved it. It was just as described in ad. Wonderful communication with Manager. Quick response. The houses were very, very clean upon arrival. The property is tucked back where it is very peaceful. It was just what our family and friends needed. There is a bit of a drive to get to some places, but it was worth it. This was our first time to rent a home for vacation. We will book through Vrbo again. Thank you!!!

Jim, the property manager makes this as easy as can be to rent, check in and enjoy the entire trip. The houses were perfect for our family. Plenty of sleeping space and the spacious grounds allowed for plenty of outdoor games and eating. We loved it.

Most Relaxing Stay
The Umpqua Riverfront Paradise should be listed as a Resort. I can’t even begin to tell you how much my family, friends and I enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for. The only problem we had was deciding whether we should go explore Oregon as we are from California or stay and relax away from the hustle and bustle of things. We decided to split up our days. Spent some time driving up and down the coast. And a lot of time relaxing away from everything as we sat on the dock. The stores are a little bit of a drive away, about 20 mins into Reedport, but that is all part of the charm. It is a beautiful drive and very relaxing as you pass the Elk Viewing where plenty of Elk roamed for us to see and enjoy. We had a party of 11 and there was more then ample room for us all. Make sure you bring your binoculars as there is plenty of animals to see, Turkey Vultures, Quail, Bald Eagles, Frogs, Ducks, Birds, Fish and even Salamanders. We are all talking about our next vacation and Umpqua Riverfront Paradise is DEFINITELY a location we are thinking of coming back to.

Great Oregon getaway
Driving 13+ hours to this rental property was totally worth it. If you want to be away from the city and take in Oregon, this is the place. Clean and spacious property, perfect for multiple families. Surrounded by so much green and river in the backyard, what more can you ask for. Thank you for stay!

Beautiful place to stay
Things have been tough in these covid times but if you want a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, this is it! We stayed over Thanksgiving, two families, kids and dogs. The grounds were all fenced which was awesome for the dogs and each kid had their own bed. The view was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend this place.

It would have been nice to have reusable plastic plates/cups for the kids to use instead of glassware, but now that we know, we will make note to bring some for next time.

We really enjoyed our stay. The way this house was setup was ideal for a getaway with a few families. Huge yard for kids to play in, a dock out to the river and a fire pit for snores. The only bummers were that house keeping was still working at our check in time so we didn't have access to both houses right away and the landscaper came before our check out time and started working so it was a little awkward. But the property manager had great communication and was readily available.

Wonderful River Relaxing Vacation Home
A great location, lots of space inside and out for everyone to relax and have lots of space. Lots of stars at night, warm peaceful water during the day- it couldn't have been a better place to have fun with our kids and dog. Loved having the kayaks and inflatables. There were plenty of chairs and tables outside to enjoy the view. Had a wonderful time!

Really fun week! Spacious, comfortable, great location.
We had two families join (half from WA, half from CA) for a week-long stay. This is summer of 2020, and our usual family reunion was canceled due to Covid-19. We ended up co-mingling as we all have been staying safe at home, BUT this place is the perfect set-up to have a socially-distanced vacation since the two households are separate and you could just hang out together outside. There was a nice shaded spot to eat dinner on the deck. Anyway, we were really happy with the fully fenced, spacious grounds, quiet neighborhood and street (I had my 2 & 4 year olds riding their bikes with us on the road), and availability of kayaks and floats to play on the water. Our dogs and kids really loved being able to romp around off-leash safely. The ramp to the dock definitely required some coordination, as well as the ladder to climb up out of the water to the dock. The high/low tide difference was impressive! At low tide, the water was calm enough - almost no perceptible current - to play in the water without worry of drifting away. We had a fire on two nights (some wood was left by the previous renter, otherwise bring your own wood, also bring your own marshmallow sticks). It was very warm in late July up by the house and inside in the late afternoons, but it was always cooler by the water and the house cooled off quickly after dinner. The houses were clean, there were ample towels and bedding and comfortable beds. Nice set-up with the bunk beds, my youngest slept in our pack'n play but maybe next time he will use a bunk! Each house has laundry facilities for free (soap for a load or two). There was more than enough seating inside and out for the 10 of us. The kitchens were well-stocked - both had dishwashers! Bring some ice - one of the houses does not have an ice maker or ice cube tray. Also consider bringing some food storage containers (we cooked all week and had lots of leftovers!). It was a really nice getaway! We enjoyed both relaxing at the house and going for trips to the sand dunes, the beach hikes, and we did one day of glorious mountain biking in Bandon at the Whiskey Creek trails. Totally worth the 1hr 20min drive!
