Check in took over an hour. We got one key card, and asked for a second key, and told it wasn’t possible. They offered no direction to the room. We were given no info about dining times, locations, etc. The hotel lists free wi-fi, but in order to access it, you have to turn off private sharing its not available in the rooms. The fridge & coffee maker were both broken. The AC in the room is set to 25c (77F) and you can’t override it. There are very few English speaking employees that can assist you when you do have an issue. The manager came to the room after I posted another review and offered a comp lobster dinner. It was about 6:00pm, and we were getting ready to go get dinner. The reservation offered was at 8:00pm. We reluctantly accepted and were then asked to update our review, which I agreed to do by adding that they offered us a comp meal for the inconvenience. We waited 2 hours, went to the restaurant and ordered exactly what we were offered. We were then told there would be an up-charge to our order for this meal. At this point, we were done, got up and left. This was very disappointing. Especially after waiting 2 hours to eat. We will not return to this hotel.

Stayed at this property for 3days2nights. Overall it was okay. Less than 15mins bus ride to downtown and other malls. It has only 2 restaurant options tho, 1 a la carte and 1 buffet. Not much food selection and there’s a big line up every meal time at the buffet area.

Had an amazing stay here! We booked the Junior Swim-up Suite and I absolutely fell in love with it had such an amazing view to the beach! Huge shout out to Luis he was checking in on us making sure we were okay and taken care of! Overall my stay was amazing and hoping to visit again in the future!

Our overall stay at the flamingo was great! Friendly happy helpful staff! The food was really good and rooms clean. The hotel itself is a little older but we really enjoyed it. For the price being affordable we were overall impressed. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future

The view was amazing. The food ,WiFi, and rooms not so much. We had bugs in the room crawling on you at night. Not much to choose from on food and what they did have was not good. Will not stay here again. Also very loud lots of crying kids

This place isn’t to party. You can’t be by the pool and play music off your speaker. (we got in trouble for doing that) They don’t play music either. They closed the beach at 6pm! Forced everyone to go to the hotel/pool. What is that? The pool is small, and only has about 12-15 chairs tops. Bars close at 11, so you can’t get any kind of drinks after that. No vending machines or anything open. If you’re with a family, I guess it’s ideal… but other than that, I’d stay somewhere else.

Two days mechanics working on my air conditioning because we didn’t have air. Had to sleep last night, mechanics coming in and out of my room when I needed to shower Or even just relax, they kept giving us excuses about the air conditioning, not working Waiter at buffet gave us a dirty look because we asked for Our coffee she brought us coffee and when we reminded her, she literally gave us a dirty look right in my face

I will never forgive the horrible week spent at Flamingo. Instead of being happy and enjoying with family, I spent my wedding week at their front desk trying to sort out all the issues from broken ACs, staff rudeness, cancelled reservations for my family and friends. The day before my wedding I was worried about where my 86 year old grandma was going to sleep because of their lack of planning and customer service. I trusted this hotel by recommending it to my guests and the experience was awful. It was embarrassing that I recommended Flamingo. It’s so sad that this is what most mexicans traveling to cancun can afford in our own country. The price difference is there for a reason, sadly. Rude, close minded staff, horrible food at the 2 tiny restaurants that makes you wait 40 minutes to sit down, room service that charges you 90 pesos PER ITEM they bring you so yes, cans of soda are included in the all inclusive package but if you want 5 cans brought to your room they will charge almost 500 pesos to bring them. ACs that don’t work, hotel staff gossiping or trying to sell things to guests starting at 7AM right outside your door. This hotel claims they can’t do you any favors due to their policy but doesn’t have any issues ignoring their policy of honoring a contract and give you a room you paid for. Flamingo robbed my family monetarily and from being able to be happy together at the beach which was a once in a lifetime trip for all of us. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

The beach was perfect but the service was awful. It should not be classified as an all inclusive everything cost extra including simply having drinks in the refrigerator in your room. You can only get one drink at a time and they will not fill water bottles. There was never any ice in the ice machine. The buffet food was below average and no one ever ask me if i would like a drink. We decided to eat at 10:30 one night , the restaurant closed at 11 as soon as we sat to eat the staff was flickering the lights as if to rush us out of there. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the security walking around at night shining there flashlights on everyone and being on the beach blowing a whistle at everyone and telling everyone where to swim. I read the negative reviews about this property before I booked it and decided i would judge for myself and even splurged on a swim up suite for added privacy but there was none.

The staff was very friendly, especially the bartenders and waitresses. However I would not recommend staying there, the hotel shuts down its pool, restaurants, and bar at 10:50. And my first night there they gave me a room without AC, they couldn’t do anything until the morning it was extremely hot.

The positives… Beautiful view. Water is spectacular! Now the rest… Horrible food, we ended eating off resort after our first night. We either walked to a restaurant close by, or went downtown a mile. Buffet was inedible to us. The only decent food on site was a hotdog, hamburger stand we ate at a couple times. There is a pizza place which is average at best. Bars close way too early, and the have limited variety of alcohol. They are slow and not all that friendly. The rest of the staff is somewhat unfriendly, with the exception of the cleaning staff. Those ladies were great. Hotel is old and could use updates, but it was clean. This is a no smoking resort, if you want to smoke, you have to walk outside to the street. If you get caught smoking, the fine is steep. Someone did get caught our second night on their balcony.. $250 US dollar fine. Tons of locals at this resort, only met a handful of individuals on vacation\holiday. The pictures they show are very misleading. I will not return nor would I recommend this resort to anyone.

I can’t believe you are actually affiliated with this hotel. This was the worst. It was very misleading in regards to all inclusive accommodation. I tried calling express my concerns to the management team, he hung up on me. They have to pay for certain meals and it was the same boring menu everyday.

Good resort, but make sure no mistake for booking
Hotel is fine and service is good, not a lot of vegeterian or chicken options for food. I booked for 1 person by mistake instead of 2, which was $15 difference online, but i realised the mistake as soon as i booked, but they won’t let me change the booking and had to pay$95 per day dor the 2 nd person. Also i asked about checkig out late 2 hours due to our flight time, they wanted $50 per hour , which is a very normal request at other hotels. Service and bar were good, good resort overall but nit able to change even a little bit on their rules unless you pay them money for everything.

This property needs better management and honestly it shouldn’t be an all inclusive. You can see what they are trying to do there but it’s not working. The views are the best part the food is good slightly childish but you can tell they are not staffed or supplied enough to do what they are TRYING to do. It’s a competitive world out there remember tourism bring money not only catering more efficiently to their own kind. Loved the views tho ! Do better guys make people feel like there’s more to do and please have some entertainment for the people who don’t want to go out try activities games lure people in

Our first experience in Cancun at the flamingo Cancun all inclusive resort. One of the worst experiences so far in all the travel’s we have done to Mexico. We had booked a swim up all inclusive but Upon arriving front desk person stated we only booked for the room, after going back and forth nothing was done, they mentioned we had to buy food and drinks at the resort and we were not allowed to buy food or drinks outside of the resort. We had reserved a room with a king size bed and swim up we received two queens Instead when addressing the issue they stated it was only a possibly we would get a king bed. When getting to the room a/c not cold enough. Upon using the restroom door handle broken hence fell off when opening the door, toilet did not flush well after a few uses would stop flushing , no shower door water all over the floor. Swim ups are on the first floor guests tend to be nosey in the hallway screaming and knocking on doors noise goes on past midnight. No entertainment at the resort Beach was beautiful but all the hotels on the strip where the flamingo is located have access to the beach would recommend a different resort. Out of our 5 day stay we stayed one night and instead went to isla mujeres for the rest of the nights

At arrival no rooms were availeble. after booking 4 months in advance i slept on the floor in my friends room. they refused to give my money back for the night !!! Glass and a knife was found on the beach ! They finaly gave us a room the next day and they were working upstairs all day making noise horrible experience no sleep in the morning . And food wasint that good and room was dirty in bathroom . Passs on this pay a few bucks extra for a good hotel !

Dear guest, we are very sorry for your bad experience, however, we always gave you assistance and you rejected it. You decided to spend the night in a room with your friends when the hotel had already allocated and paid for a room for you, all expenses paid. The issue of glass is an unconscious part of guests who do not respect the rules of the property and put those of others at risk, which is why it is prohibited to bring food and drinks from outside the property. The hotel has to be in constant maintenance, it is something natural during working hours, we regret these inconveniences.

I don’t recommend this hotel even if its at a good price, it will ruin your trip experience and vacation. Very bad hotel and I will mention that on the reservation survey. Very Poor service, very bad service, long queue at the restaurant, no place to sit at the beach because seats are very limited and most of them broken, you must check out at 12 and after check out you can’t have any food or drinks as a part of your all inclusive package. Worst hotel I ever stayed in at Cancun and will never come again.

I’ve traveled many times to Cancun and all over the world. The way in which this hotel operates is unfortunately way below standard. The competition in Cancun is extremely high and my suggestion would be to visit high end hotels for the experience and study how you can improve. Majority of staff is missing a lot of training in customer service and hospitality. Many are extremely rude and arrogant. For the amount of money you end up paying you will never see the value by the end of your trip. For the money spent you can stay a better located hotel with better amenities and much better service. During my stay I witnessed many other guests having issues and arguments with staff and their lack of service. Some rooms are in terrible condition. After 3 days of multiple unresolved complaints, we were finally moved to a different room where the condition of the space was entirely different. I’m sorry to say that I would never recommend this hotel.
