“lovely hotel not far from town”

We loved this hotel..all staff were so nice, especially the lady greeting us each day for our meals...always smiling.It is lovely and spacious and cool from the spanish sun. The pool area is great..my 9 year old son had a ball..and it was so relaxing. The choice of food was great..we were half board and got half price deal of 291e for 4 nights which was brillant..it wasnt out of this world food but thats to be expected with buffet,but the staff were constantly refilling food trays and really work hard. The only niggles we had was that we had put up do not make up room on door but maid still came into room and just remade our old sheets, no change and no new loo roll..just tightened sheets to bed when we had them pulled back to air them anyway..there was no point in her visit. and also the entertainment was geared towards the spanish visitors..hardly any english so we got a bit lost with that. But that did not stop us having a great time in salou..it is a great hotel..and close enough to town without the madness..just turn right when come out of hotel and follow road to town..10-15 mins stroll..its a nice walk in the sunshine..there is also a lil train to take you around salou outside hotel..3euro per adult and 1.50 per child and thats a lovely ride around. Its a real family hotel with no messers...loved it..and would return.

“very comfortable hotel”

The hotel was easy to find, had limited parking but adequate as we were there in March, might be a bit of a problem in peak season. The room was large, very clean with typical level of comfort. We went on a bed and breakfast basis and was very impressed with the choice and quality of food for breakfst. Would use this hotel again for a mini break to spain.

this was a very short break 2 days but the hotel was great food excellent. It is a walk into the main town area but that is not a bad thing. Would recommend and would go back

“Sol Costa Daurada!!”

This has to be one of the best hotels i have stayed in. The food is buffet style "eat as much as you like". They cater for all types of tastes and the service is excellent. The 2 bars and the night club are very good and drinks prices are very reasonable for a hotel. They swimming pools, spa and gym are excellent, and the free bus service to the PortAventure theme park and beach is very good.

“GREAT HOTEL”

My two children and I stayed at Sol Costa Duarada in May 2008 and found the hotel to be a great place. Was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews but all in vain! We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts were great - fruit/cereal/toast/breads/cheeses/meat/full cooked/coffee/tea/chocolate/juice & as much of everything as you wanted - food was hot & bacon & eggs were cooked in front of you. The swimming pool outside was a bit on the chilly side but the weather wasn't hot enough to warm it up! The indoor pool was great - a bit small but never got too full. It was a short walk to bars/shops/beach and only a short taxi ride from the airport - 28 euros - the hotel has a bus to/from the airport at set times so worth asking them direct as its cheaper than a taxi 20 euros for up to 4 people. We went to Port Aventura too - again walked from hotel but they have a bus service & the little train stops outside hotel & theme park.

“Very impressed with the standard of the Hotel”

We stayed here 18th - 23rd may, and was very happy with the standards. The rooms were cleaned and new towels & bed sheets changed every day. The dining room was also very plesant and staff very helpful, the range of food was more than plenty and different every night. The walk to the beach was 10-15 mins, and there was a free bus that took you down at various times throughout the day. We also took advantage of one of the excursions from the Hotel, we had a tour of barcelona, and was very interesting. All in all very very impressed with the hotel and The resort and will definitly head back sometime in the near future.

good quality hotel with range of oportunities.We enjoy the half board catering,especialy deserts at the dinner.10 minutes walk to the beach.not very much parking space,cannot imagine in peak.

“A Perfect Stay”

The staf were perfect - we ended up having 5 keys as we kept losing ours but there was never a quibble. Food Excellent - no waiting. Beach is quite a walk away - 10 mins but lovely to stroll as you are on holiday anyway! Portaventura and Waterpark are a must for all families. Let kids buy their coke/water crisps etc from the machines in the hotel - its cheaper than the bars and it is usually draught stuff. Happy Stay!

“Excellent Hotel.”

The Hotel Sol Costa Daurada is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spotless. Shower screens so no water on the bathroom floor after showering. The only downside is that there are no cafes, bars, shops in the near vicinity. It is quite a walk to the nearest shop or bar so you are stuck in the evening with the hotel bar - unless you fancy a walk.
