La Fabbrica di San Martino is een prachtige Agriturismo gelegen in de bergen vlakbij Lucca. Hier beleef je nog de échte toscaanse ervaring! Je kan er genieten van absolute rust middenin de wijngaarden met een zicht dat kilometers ver reikt. Zowel de kamers als tuinen zijn idyllisch. Giovanna is een uiterst gemoedelijke gastvrouw die op een heel discrete manier haar gasten laat genieten van deze prachtige locatie. Bovendien vind je vlakbij een aantal uitmuntende restaurants (Lombardo is een echte aanrader).
Samengevat: hier verblijven is proeven van het Italie uit onze kinderdromen.

A very chilled out location with lovely rustic styled accommodation. We were given one of the apartments and it was really great being able to bring back snacks for the evening to have with a bottle of the estate wine.
A really nice swimming pool but the weather wasn't kind to us so it was a bit too chilly to use it. We also visited the donkeys and took them carrots (which they were clearly used to as they came trotting over when they saw the bag)
Breakfast in the main building was well done with a lovely selection of breakfast goodies to choose from.
A good location from which to explore northern Tuscany, the coast and Lucca.

Charme et classe de cette belle demeure.
Accueil parfait des propriétaires.
Situation magnifique au dessus de Lucca.
Très vaste appartement climatisé meublé avec goût.

Geplaatst op 30 sep. 2017 op HotelsDie Fabricca di San Martino ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Inmitten von Weinreben und Olivenbäumen gelegen mit einem tollen Pool und antik eingerichteten Zimmern in den alten Häusern. Die Villa selbst ist absolut beeindruckend.

Lovely traditional accommodation
Geplaatst op 12 sep. 2017 op HotelsSpacious apartment (not room) in the annexe, artistically furnished in an authentic traditional Tuscan farmhouse retaining almost all of its rustic features and details. Owners were extremely helpful with very useful tips on where to go and where to eat- we would thoroughly endorse the bar on the way in to Lucca but only does (excellent) food on Friday and Saturday. Breakfast in the hotel is taken in stunning surroundings when weather does not permit sitting out on the terrace. Only negative from our point of view (and in very bad weather) was that we hoped it would be more accessible to Lucca but it is still only 10-15 mins drive.

Voordelen: Traditionally Tuscan.
The main house with breakfast on the terrace was lovely.
Nadelen: More sunbeds and parasols.
Locatie: Perfect location - near to Pisa Airport and a short drive into Lucca.
We stayed for one night prior to renting a Villa elsewhere for a week.
Booked accommodation without realising it was a Bed & Breakfast / Self Catering Apartment. Disappointed to learn that we were unable to have dinner on site.
Nearest restaurant was however very good, a short drive away.
Pool was lovely with changing cabins and an outdoor shower.
