Although they claimed that it was Expedia's fault, my two-day reservation was forced into two one-night stays. We were made to change rooms less than 24 hours after arriving. The inconvenience and the hassle of moving rooms ruined our stay there. We could not unpack since we would be moving just after waking up having been out very late for New Year's. I begged them not to do this to us. They said it was not their fault that they were completely booked and it was Expedia's fault but we were never told. If I had been told when I was making my reservation through Expedia that we would have to change rooms because they were filled, I would have found another place to stay. The check-in desk at the Tennis Club was telling me that was the reason that I should book directly with the hotel and not a 3rd party service like Expedia because the hotel could correct the mistake, but Expedia
couldn't. I offered to upgrade I tried everything to get them to let us stay in the room for the 2 days but they kept claiming there was nothing they could do. When they called us to tell us what our new room number was, I asked them instead of moving us why couldn't they put the other people in the room that they were sending us to. I was told that it was because we were in the room of the owners and they were there. They kept saying it was Expedia's fault. Someone made a big mistake and ruined my trip.
