Dit hotel lijkt maar twee employees te hebben, een voor de dag en de ander voor de nacht. Aardige behulpzame dames. Verder is er geen service dus je eigen kamer schoon houden! Daardoor is er wel wat aan te merken. We hebben regelmatig gebruik gemaakt van Extended Stay hotels, kamer met keuken voor een aantrekkelijk prijs. Hier was de prijs veel te hoog voor wat we kregen! Een bejaard hotel, weinig onderhoud en brandvlekken van sigaretten in badkamer. We dachten dicht bij de metro naar Washington te zitten. Het dichtstbijzijnde station was inderdaad een paar minuten rijden maar daar was het parkeerterrein al voor acht uur vol. Dan maar zes mijl naar Arlington in de garage van de Pentagon Mall. Een dag naar Washington kost voor twee personen dan minstens twintig dollar maar je bent in iets meer dan een half uur van je hotel bij elke bezienswaardigheid. Omdat het vakantie was hebben we het maar gedaan met het hotel maar een volgende keer zullen we een ander nemen! Wie hier toch heen gaat is gewaarschuwd en doet het er ook mee. Niet klagen dus.

Property appearance looked just fine. Unfortunately the streets around the hotel have trash all along sidewalk. I know its not anything the hotel can do about that. In fact the property had excellent kind and helpful staff. My only complaint was last night there I had a group of people playing loud music and yelling as they toasted shots. I could hear through the walls this was an 18th birthday celebration. I asked front desk for music turned down but music continued til 3am. Final conclusion: Good place to stay Monday thru Friday morning but not weekends.

Expedia set this up for my soulmate and I after we found out the day before arriving- the hotel shut its doors. So- we would have been stranded. Alkram, the manager, of Extended stay in Alexandria Virginia made our visit a pleasant surprise. It was 10 minutes from my competition venue and walking distance from the grocery store and various restaurants! It was a better than expected visit. I would seriously consider visiting again.

Very basic property. Paid for queen bed, got double. Someone obviously smoked in the room beforehand with the smell and fire alarm missing. Had to ask for dishes vs having them in there like other extended stays. Other than that it was fine.

The room was not clean the linens didn’t look clean and the hallway had dust bunnies chasing me down the hallway. My first indication that I had made a horrible decision in staying here was signs in the parking lot stating “Don’t leave valuables visible in your vehicle”. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

It took 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check-us in. He did not say a word and our keys did not even work.The hallways were littered with trash and there were other people with their hotel doors open, cooking food in the hallways, and going from room to room. It was very loud and the rooms were not sound proof at all.

I guess I need “frills”, not a “no frills hotel”
Very thin walls, just walking down the hallway to our room, I could hear EVERYTHING in the other rooms from cooking, tvs, and sexual relations! Upon entering my room, the bathroom door was shut and opening it release an awful smell, so much so I check the toilet to see if the seal was bad allowing sewer gasses in. Very poor patch jobs on counter and walls, covered with caulk instead of paint, etc. Other patrons creeped me out so bad eyeing my 21 year old daughter I no longer felt safe enough to stay and was given a full refund for the 20 minutes I was there. As a female traveler, I just didn’t feel safe there.

Booking clearly says non-smoking room, still I was given took stinking with cigarettes smoke. I’d take a trip with all my belongings back to front desk to get another room. Air conditioning was noisy, I preferred to not use it. Hair dryer was not working. Grab-n-go breakfast is nothing but coffee and oatmeal packets. NOT A VALUE FOR MONEY.

Broken shower
The shower in my suite did not work. I informed the front desk , he came upstairs and confirmed that it was not working. He told me politely that there were no other rooms available. I needed to shower so he opened a room that was vacant but not cleaned yet so I could take a shower. I had to leave my room on the 2nd floor at almost midnight to go on the 3rd floor in order to clean up and came back to my room. I asked if I’ll get some form of compensation because of how inconvenient this was. I did not. In addition the pillow cases were dirty; had to remove pillow and sleep without. I had a very uncomfortable night. I hope they can read this review and refund me because that showering on the 3rd floor was very inconvenient!

Positief: Netheid, personeel en service en comfort kamer
Negatief: Staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Not horrid, but not great.
Pros: Room was clean, staff were nice, easy check in and easy to find. Cons: No items in room (ie. dishes, coffee pot etc.) though we’re provided when asked for at front desk, towel bar was broken, hallways smelled of marijuana as some guest were smoking in room. All in all it wasn’t a horrible stay, though I probably would not stay here again. Staff were very pleasant and did apologize for the inconveniences.
