Heel fijn
Het was zo fijn! Het personeel was heel aardig, het ontbijt was opzich prima. De kamers waren mooi. Ik vond het heerlijk om elke dag wakker te worden van het geluid van de zee en het uitzicht was prachtig. Het restaurant en de bar zijn wel aan vernieuwing toe. Het past niet echt meer bij de rest.

Het hotel was keurig, kamers modern ingericht en schoon. Je loopt aan de voorkant de deur uit en je bent in het oude centrum, en aan de andere kant sta je direct op het schitterende schone strand. Kan geen minpunten bedenken.

Erg mooi net gerenoveerd hotel met zeezicht
Erg mooi net gerenoveerd hotel met fantastisch zeezicht. Erg centraal gelegen. Geen parkeerplekken in de buurt omdat het oude stadscentrum weinig plaats heeft, wel een gratis openbare parking op redelijke loopafstand (Google Maps ‘Free Public Parking Albufeira’). Wij namen bij aankomst en vertrek ivm koffers een Uber en anders gingen we lopend naar de auto. Ontbijt vonden we niet heel bijzonder, maar prima. Jammer dat je niet buiten kunt ontbijten. Verder echt een aanrader!

gedateerd hotel, redelijk onderhouden. bovenop strand is 4 sterren, rest 2,5-3 sterren. ontbijt goed, zeer uitgebreid, elke dag gekookt ei, roerei, gebakken ei, spek, witte bonen, worstjes. Avondeten 1x gedaan, was vreselijk. ligging fantastisch bovenop het mooie schone strand, in het oude centrum van Albufeira. kamer faciliteiten matig, wifi soms afwezig meestal goed. heerlijke douche. hotel/bar/strand consumpties duur tov stad Albufeira. elke avond live muziek. Fijne 2,5 week vakantie gehad.

Goed hotel direct aan de zee.
Hotel Sol e Mar is een goed hotel dat direct aan zee en aan het uitgaansleven van Albufeira ligt. Het hotel is wat gedateerd maar is wel schoon en fijn om te verblijven. Het ontbijtbuffet is geweldig, de kamers enigszins gedateerd maar worden iedere dag schoongemaakt. Vriendelijk personeel en gezellige terrassen. Het centrum is enorm gezellig waar je via een ludiek verlichte tunnel naar toe loopt. Ook hier geweldig leuke winkels en terrassen met dikwijls live muziek. Restaurants te kust en te keur tegen redelijke prijzen. Kortom een ideaal hotel voor een kortstondig bezoek aan een zonnige omgeving.

Top locatie aan het strand!
+ Locatie is top, aan het strand en dicht bij het centrum. Personeel is vriendelijk. Vanaf balkon uitzicht op de zee. - ontbijt kan beter, er is veel keus zeker als je houdt van een engels ontbijt. Aan de andere kant beperkt in variatie betreft beleg. -de kamers zijn echt toe aan opknapbeurt.

Gunstig gelegen hotel direkt aan strand en centrum
Het hotel ligt zeer gunstig, alle kamers hebben een balkonnetje en uitzicht op zee. Het zou een 4* hotel moeten zijn, maar dat vinden wij tóch te veel, of het zou uitsluitend door de ligging bepaald moeten zijn, wat wij niet reëel vinden. Het hotel is vwb de ruimtes best goed, maar het wordt tijd voor een update van de kamers. Die zijn zeer eenvoudig maar redelijk ingericht. De badkamer vinden wij zéker voor 4 sterren onvoldoende. Het bad is nodig aan vervanging toe heeft een douchegordijn om te kunnen douchen.Na gebruik van het bad bleek de afvoer niet goed te werken en kwam het water via een plug in de vloer omhoog, dit werd overigens dezelfde dag verholpen. Wij hadden last van mieren in de badkamer, het kamermeisje liet daarvoor een spuitbus achter. De flatscreen-tv op de kamer is prima, wifi is overal uitstekend. Onze kamer was op de 1e etage waar helaas de muziek van de bar beneden vaak storend was.Op de 5e etage zijn ook prettige zitjes met uitzicht op zee en wat stoelen op een smal balkon, m.n. ook voor de rokers. Wij hadden HP, het ontbijt was vooral Engels met wat aanvulling voor anderen, het dinerbuffet was redelijk gevarieerd en smaakte ons wel. Wat de staf betreft, een dame aan de balie van de receptie was zeer behulpzaam, vriendelijk en correct!! Ook sommige anderen, maar m.n in het restaurant waren een wat oudere heer en een jonge dame die misschien chronisch vermoeid waren, de anderen waren/keken vriendelijk.

De ligging van het complex is schitterend. Aan de ene kant aan het strand, aan de andere kant aan het oude centrum. De faciliteiten zijn prima en ook het ontbijt was goed. Alleen het sanitair op de kamers is aan vervanging toe. Het is wel zuiver en netjes.

Parking on the entire area is completely impractical, but that's not the fault of anyone business...just worth mentioning so anyone visiting knows what to expect. Staff was amazing, the view from the lobby and room was fantastic, and there were tons of options for food and shopping around.

Beautiful oceanfront property where everyday you can welcome the sunrise and witness the sunset. The buffet breakfast included in your stay is one of the best with lots of selection to please every taste. Luis entertained us nightly and the dancers on sunday were amazing. Hotel is in an ideal location close to great restaurants and shopping. Can't wait to return.

Great location, breakfast was good, seaview rooms, was fantastic. Booked 2 twin rooms, one was fine the second one which i was staying in had several problems. On the first day we gound the sink was blocked and draining very slowly, after reporting this nothing was done until day 2 it was completely blocked. Had to spwak to reception 3 times before someone came to fix it. The next day the electric went off, next door room was absolutely fine. Called recpetion and again response was slow they came after 40 minutes even though id told them we had an excursion booked. On day 4 electric tripped again, this time they came in 20 minutes and found the elecgric keeps going off dhe to the faulty fridge i the room. Not happy with the room, if we didnt have the avoce issues then this is an amazing locatio

The room is great, nice view, the staff is mostly great, except for the one receptionist that wasn’t very pleasant, but what bothered me was the lack of parking and the noise in the room from what happens in the hallway. Overall, a good stay, great location, would stay again with ear plugs and prepared to work to and from the car.

Excelent location. The sea to one side of the hotel and you are right by the old town on the other side The room and balcony were spacious and nicely decorated. Could have done with a kettle in the room instead of the coffee machine as the coffee pods were never replaced by the housekeeping staff even though we were there for 5 nights, the fridge didn’t get any of our drinks cold but we weren’t bothered so didn’t mention anything to the staff. There were many options for the breakfast but the dinner was on and off, some days better than others. Although the hotel was right by the beach and we had great views of it from our room/balcony, please note the sun loungers you can see in front of the hotel are not included in your room rate even though it looks like it’s part of the hotel, they charge €20 for 2 chair (all day), good to bear in mind as we weren’t aware that was the case before we booked. Overall we were happy with our stay and would definitely return, and would also recommend for anyone looking to stay at the old town area.
