Het hotel is prachtig, het is een oud klooster en dat hebben ze behouden. Wij verbleven in de special suite en het was fantastisch. Aardig personeel en je werd bij binnenkomst vriendelijk ontvangen. En als je iets nodig had dan kon je bellen, receptie is 24 uur open. In het restaurant hebben wij heerlijk gegeten en het ontbijt was ook niet mis. Al bij al een heerlijke nacht in een heerlijk bed gehad en een heerlijk verblijf

Mooi hotel met te weinig aandacht voor horeca
Mooi hotel op een goede locatie. Vriendelijk personeel maar vaak onvindbaar in de horeca gedeeltes. Te weinig bedden bij het zwembad. Meer levendigheid zou dit hotel perfect maken. Heeft absoluut de potentie hiervoor. Nu is het te duur. Tavira is een leuk uitgaansstadje met een veerboot naar het strand

We loved staying at the Pousada de Tavira. A beautifully restored, atmospheric building. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, offering great service. Our room (4) was located in the convent itself, very spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the pool area, small downside that it is not heated. Breakfast was delicious and a free of charge room service breakfast was available for our last morning when we had to leave early for the airport. Lastly, great location on a hill overlooking Tavira and just a short walk to the centre. Free and secure parking also a plus. A great choice when staying in Tavira, we can certainly recommend this hotel.

Prachtig pand, faciliteiten wat minder
Heel mooi pand, leuk om gezien te hebben. Kamers en inrichting waren wat minder. Ook niet erg schoon. Grotendeels zeer vriendelijk personeel. De locatie middenin de stad is perfect. Alles is te voet bereikbaar. Een oud pand betekent waarschijnlijk ook wat minder perfecte kamers, daar heb ik wel begrip voor. Maar in deze prijsklasse verwacht ik toch meer. Het zwembad was leeg voor onderhoud, verder was er weinig te doen. Het ontbijt was best aardig, maar niet speciaal.

mooie locatie, rustig gelegen hotel. Historische omgeving, en mooi monumentaal pand. Bediening zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij, en ontbijt is ook goed. Extra bestellingen werden niet in rekening gebracht. Prijs / kwaliteit verhouding is erg goed. Paar kleine minpuntjes: - menu kaart is niet te uitgebreid - paar kleine dingen werkten niet goed in de kamer, maar werden wel snel opgelost - bij zwembad en in de bar komt niet veel bediening, dus wat langer wachten

The property had a lot of common areas that were spacious and easy to meet up with friends. The staff were friendly and helpful, We had dinner at the restaurant and it was great! Love the history preserved in the building!

Distinctive and characterful hotel
A beautiful hotel in the historic centre of Tavira, and right beside the castle. It’s a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The former convent has been beautifully restored, and the rooms are very comfortable.. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a landscaped swimming pool area, and a lovely central courtyard for relaxation. It’s one of the most elegant hotels I have stayed in.

The breakfast was fantastic! The crispy ravioli was just okay. There was a door in the dining area that when closed it made a big bang which was a bit startling and annoying, but that’s all that I would complain about. Guests should note that the neighboring church bells ring starting at 8am.

Never disappoints. This is our second time at this hotel and it is truly one of our favorite places to stay. From the moment you walk in the entrance you feel well cared for in every way. Need a restaurant suggestion if not eating at their own superb restaurant on site? They have one. Need a taxi? Suggestions for things to do, places to see, they can offer up all of it. But, really, you could be happy just being inside the premises. Their pool isn't heated, but in the hot days it is a perfect temperature and the loungers poolside offer food/bar service. Their breakfast is also the reason to come. Their buffet is a gourmands delight. The staff in general are a cut above and make you want to stay longer.
