My first room had no heat. They couldn't fix it and gave me a space heater. Offered me a move by text, so millennial... I didn't see till next day. Moved the next day, got an inferior room, smaller, no sofa, torn up bench and still no heat. Again they wanted me to play room roulette. Got a space heater... And went to bed. I am disabled. Expedia gave me a $100 credit as they refused. Horrible hotel don't stay. I am a former hotel GM.

Every year we celebrate Fur Rondy. The Carnaval is just across the street, the dog races are just up the street, the fireworks are right out my window. The native art displays are walking distance. It’s perfect.

Hilton Anchorage - No Shower, dirty floors.
The rooms show didn't work. The agent at the front desk had a very difficult time understanding "no water in the shower". On the way to our room, in hall way, garbage was left on the floor. Wrappers, trash. It was not to any Hilton hotel standard we've ever seen.

Location is great. Feels safe to walk around. Waking distance to many restaurants and bars. Staff is very nice and friendly. Room is clean. Aubrielle is one of the best.

Hotel has improved since previous stays
I have stayed at the Anchorage Hilton before, and I will say that my experience this trip was better than my previous experiences. Similar to what other reviewers have said, the hotel is definitely older and not as updated as other Hiltons. The rooms we had were fine, but they were not modern or luxurious. One room had water that took a long time to get warm (not hot) and one room the fan/heater ran constantly but the room temperature did not change. I think the hotel was overall better due to it not being peak tourist season but it does still have room for improvement.

The room was dirty and was not cleaned each day, even paying $500 per night. We had clothes laundered but they did not deliver them to the room. We had to call and ask for them so we could pack to leave the hotel.

This hotel was in a very convenient location in downtown anchorage. There are a lot of places to eat and to shop around. I recommend it for this regard. The hotel was clean and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The reception area was large and the staff were friendly. The only reason why I did not give this hotel a perfect score is that it charges significantly higher than its competition for a hotel that does not feel that it is at par with other Hilton properties. It lacks the luxury feel. There was no onsite bar and it really lacked some of the amenities other similar hotels in the same price range. Other than that, it was a good hotel.

What a dump. I expected way more from a Hilton. The room was a tiny, back in a dark corner with a wall outside of the window so we had no natural light. It was very noisy and then they decided it would be a good idea to clean the carpets outside our room between 10 pm and 4 am. Plus the water was out at least twice while we were there. On the plus side, the shower was one of the best ever. I was very disappointed for a $300 per night room.

Functional downtown walkable location; caution for homeless in area. Property does show just a little wear around the edges; for example, in the bathroom. But, overall is nice for a discounted rate that is sometimes available. WiFi is excellent. In room coffee is great. Taxi rank is around corner. Fabulous restaurant is down the street. Door dash delivers to the room. I would stay again.
