Comfortable and great location
We were out early and came back late each day, but it was a nice place to come back to and relax. A Park across the street. Had baseball games every night, but wasn't noisy or anything that bothered us. It was centered for all the places we were going to see. quick access to the airport, restaurants and shopping. It was clean and comfortable. The washer/dryer was nice because we didn't need to pack as many clothes. Which left more room for souvenirs. Would recommend to anyone that wants to see Alaska. Owner was great and VRBO made it easy to check in and out. Thanks for helping us enjoy our vacation!

A very pleasant stay
The home was very comfortable and pleasant for the four of us. Our sons were very happy to have separate rooms after sharing space in hotels for several days. This home was the best place we stayed during our visit to Alaska.

Great place!
3 couples stayed here for 5 days while we explored Anchorage and the surrounding area. We even hosted another couple for a Salmon meal (salmon was provided by our host Henry). I would recommend this house to anyone!

Very clean but terrible neighborhood.
Pros-the house and yard were SPOTLESS. Well stocked, new washer and dryer, nice owner lives next door, easy check in/out process. Cons-beds were not comfortable, TV in bedroom didn't work, not a very homey/comfy house, the neighbors were LOUD and had a junkyard look to their yard and the neighborhood was sketchy. I wouldn't stay here again.

Central Located, Super close to Park Trails
Super clean, well stocked, good choice for a family. Centrally located in Anchorage. Close to a park with playground. Park has a lighted running trail which links to other parks and trails without having to run on street level. Ran a couple of 6 plus mile runs without reaching the end.

Outstanding property Great location and owners
We absolutely loved staying at this property. The property was as advertised and very clean. We loved the location; everything we needed was within a few miles of the property (groceries, supplies, coffee shops, etc). It was nice to come home, after a day of excursions, to a great home to cook/grill in. We relaxed on the back patio with a glass of wine while grilling steaks. The owners are right next door and were readily available if we needed anything. This home will definitely be our “go-to” when we return for a visit.

Home away from home
Everything we needed to make our working trip to Anchorage as comfortable as possible. Lovely backyard to enjoy the long hours of daylight while grilling a meal on the bbq. Conveniently located, great trails and parks to explore. Next time we are headed to Anchorage this is where we will stay.

Location, Location, Location
Accommodations for 8 family members attending Anchorage, Alaska wedding can be daunting. Rented the home directly across from Russian Jack Park and it was perfect! We could meander on trails but also in walking distance of grocery shopping st Carrs. Comfortable beds, efficient user friendly appliances, lovely backyard complete with grill. Friendly and helpful host and hostess.

The ownership was very accommodating towards our every wish and request. The property owner went out of his way to make us feel important and welcome. He even gave us several salmon to eat or take home back to Illinois. The property was very clean and very up to date on accommodations. I would highly recommend to anyone. Perfect home away from home!
We rented this house in July (4 adults) for a week, and we were/are very happy with what we found. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show, and for those with children, there is a large back yard and a huge park right across the street. Henry was very helpful, friendly, we would greatly recommend this place, would rent it again if we make it to Anchorage in the future. Thank you!

The house is right across the street from the park. Biking, walking and play for the kids is just a few steps away. The contact Henry was very nice to work with. This property was everything I would want to have in a rental.

The property is on a very busy street. It was June and warm at night so we had the windows open while sleeping. Between 2am and 4 am each night it sounded as if motorcycles were drag racing. There was quite a bit of road noise really at any given time. The house is also in a flight path so you could hear large cargo planes at all hours. The house was fairly clean except the floors. If you didn’t have shoes on your socks were black. Unless you can sleep through loads of noise, bring ear plugs.....and slippers

Very nice area centrally located and across from a park.
Very nice and clean with a spacious yard. Keyless entry was very convenient for our larger group. We found plenty of cooking items except spices. Overall, a very nice stay.

A few issues, but a good stay overall
We noticed several issues within a few hours of our arrival on Wednesday: refrigerator leaking water, trash on the floor, hair in the bathroom, moldy food in the microwave, both bathroom toilets running (with one essentially inoperable), and no data left on the WiFi plan. I called the caretaker (Henry) and reported the problems. He was out of town but sent someone to take a look at the toilets and fridge. Henry returned home late on Thursday but did come over to check out the situation. He was very kind and apologetic, and promised to fix the toilet the next day. We did get access to working WiFi by Friday morning, and had two functional bathrooms by that afternoon. Given the circumstances, I asked for and received a partial refund of our rental fee. I was very pleased with the level of responsiveness and kindness shown by Henry, and the willingness of the owner to compensate us for the inconvenience we experienced. We had a great time in Anchorage and loved the location of the house. It was easy to get to the house from the Parks highway, and it’s a great location for heading down to Eagle River for hiking, or going shopping, sightseeing, etc. in the city.
