'Sandy does a nice job of welcoming you, with her friendliness and her creative expression seen in every detail of her home. It was a very comfortable stay in all aspects. My one caution, which she has stated, is it is an upstairs apartment, so it is not handicap accessible in any way.'

'We were in North Chicago for PIR. It is less than 2 miles to the ceremony (we walked to avoid traffic and parking), there are ample rooms and beds for a family crew. Space to cook and serve and lounge about while your sailor decompresses. Restaurants are near enough (we got pizza from LouMalnatis in Gurnee), and grocery stores were close too. Communication was spot on, every time I had a question, they were on top of it (no issues, just questions)'

'What a lovely experience! Host was helpful and responsive. House is large and well appointed, perfect for our group of families. Kids had a few spots to play and have a safe “sleepover” experience. Lots of space to lounge, play and eat. It’s winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space, but we talked about wanting to come back and enjoy the yard and short walk to the lake and all the amenities of downtown. 'The proximity to Great Lakes Recruitment Center, Sarge’s Meet & Greet, restaurants, etc. is perfect. We were in town for our son’s boot camp graduation and knew we wanted more room to hang out than a typical hotel room would offer. It was great to be able to relax, watch movies, just hang out with our sailor for the precious two days we had. This place has location, location, location if you’re coming in for boot camp graduation.'

'The property was just as described. It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed walking on the property. Our group had a wonderful time.'

'We stayed at this location with our two kids (8 and 6) and our 9 year old golden retriever. The entire family had a blast. They house was very family friendly. Our girls slept in the room with two queen beds but the bunk bed room was their fort/hang out spot. The location is beautiful and we had access to the pool which was utilized every day. The girls already want to go back! Thank you for the stay!'

'The house was really nice, we enjoyed our stay, enough space for 10-12 people, the only problem we had was the lighting outside of the house we didn’t have any light after sunset, we had to use our phone to us bbq grill.'

'The property was super awesome. Great view of Lake Catherine and the owners were very responsive. Plenty of room for our entire team and it was a very cute house. The only item that we would mention is that the property is either on well water or has older pipes. There was a bit of sulfur smell from the showers and sinks. We had to go out and purchase drinking water for our team since the fridge filters needed to be changed. All in all, the house was excellent!'
