Dit hotel, dat nog geen jaar oud is, had een ware hit kunnen zijn: het heeft heel wat faciliteiten (waaronder een impressionante spa) en vriendelijk personeel, maar twee punten zetten toch een serieuze domper op de pret: (i) een quasi onbestaande geluidsisolatie in de kamers maakt het verblijf erg luidruchtig en bij tijden nogal enerverend, en (ii) de netheid van de kamers laat de wensen over. Het management staat open voor alle suggesties en klachten, maar structureel kan het beter...

Overall Experience was not at all Good because first of all Check in was not at all smooth we have to wait for 30 Mins to get our rooms and after 30 mins i have got 1 Room and 1 room after 30 Mins and staff was not at all good and coperative and Later We have visited pool and the pool tiles were broken and we got injury as well. And Service is third class. Buttler comes after 30 Mins ice and glass comes after 30 mins and air conditioning, fridge is too old in the rooms. We have booked ultra luxury room but we are not at all satisfied as we have paid 15k approx and the room doesnt have a good views as well. The room approx cost 7.5k Max and breakfast got over 15 mins before and no hospitality nothing. I have stayed in more than 50 plus 5 star luxury properies i will never recommend you to stay here. Not a 5 star
The actual Resort Rio was booked by some football federation until the end of March 2022. We had to stay a lower category property by paying the 5 star price. Food quality /taste is below subpar. We informed the hotel that we were celebrating our anniversary they said they will arrange some cake but they never did. This hotel may have seen nicer days when it was new, but now it’s more like a run down property. The tub was dirty and did not have hot water. Closets are old and rusty. The pool was not clean properly you can see the green stuff on the sides. Spa is not 5 star quality at all, it’s clean and the staff is friendly but untrained. The most positive side of this hotel is, nice big rooms and staff is very nice but this Rio delux property is not 5 star and more like a 3 star service.

Everything about Resort Rio is attractive. Highlights were the huge swimming pool (which unfortunately we couldn't use due to Covid, however we did click loads of pictures around the entire property), the staff, the food and ambiance. Coming back here on every special occasion as the staff here makes it much much more special.

My Favourite Resort in the World ! Amazing People
Resort Rio: we love you ! Thank you very much for the most amazing stay and hospitality. Beautiful resort, superb facilities and our Rio Suite was simply palatial. We loved the space, the views and the most luxurious marble bathroom with a marble tub we have ever seen. We enjoyed and appreciated the very warm and genuine hospitality from all staff members. Vaman and Sumitra: thank you for the housekeeping. Shubham and Akash, we appreciate your friendly service from F&B. Thank you for the amazing food at Pickled Mango and at Jalsa, the pure veg restaurant. And what can we say about Aagor? Probably the most amazing place to be each night- a typical goan beach shack by the pool with its very own beach ! We loved Aagor so much that we spent most of our time there and you must try the fiery Feni ( nothing like the feni you would have tasted anywhere- they distil their own and its smoother than fine cognac.Thank you Roy and Agnelo for amazing cocktails. Zaara spa therapies were relaxing and we enjoyed the couple massage. What i loved about Zaara spa was the beauty and peace with fine aromas and soothing music as the masseurs gave the most relaxing massage ever followed by a rose petal bath, a relaxing steam and then rainwater shower. Both my wife and I came out of Zaara different people- pure bliss. Thank you Kazi and Mumtaz at Zaara spa. Thank you also to Stephen and his team at the front office for all the care that was taken.Fatty Francis, please keep our usual table reserved !

If you're from America do not stay here -This is not a 5 star hotel - It just has really nice decor -Staff is not trained well and many first line staff were interns that struggled to speak English - I have a team of over 300 staff in India and I know the difference and I am very forgiving on this matter. This staff was mostly comprised of those who are not up to par. -Wifi is a joke there. it was slower than dial up from the 90s Management said they would look into it but nothing changed. It was a total joke and probably purposely throttled. -There are two pool bars which got me excited but no one goes to them. Only twice there were two other people than me and my friend. Kinda kills the experience. This was during a time when they were fully booked. -Their food is pretty decent and really good if you like Indian food. Mama Mia is an Italian place with good food - They had several large events hosted by companies who were staying at the time and as a result would close some of their venues. I thought this was unfair to others. -They prohibit you from bringing your own alcohol -They prohibit you from having guests in your room -They accused me of trying to leave without paying even though I prepaid for this stay and I had a Credit Card on file for incidentals. This happened because I tried to have my bag loaded into my airport transport before checking out. This could've been avoided if I were allowed to check out from my side of the resort but that was not an option.

Would have been better if we were given better details of the location, Near Baga beach is misleading. The hotel is remote and not in walking distance from the beach.

Will not be back
They charge way to much for food and drinks, plus to many rule to have to obey like ladies have to wear certain types of clothing in the pool, and you can not bring any item of food or drink back to the hotel or allow any visitor up to you room. The free wi fi is crap it is way way to slow as they want you to pay more for the better high speed package. Also the ratio of single man to families and couples is to high with these man just sit by the pool look at the ladies a bit creepy made my partner uncomfortable. WILL NOT BE BACK.

Location is not great and hotel is fairly dated. Breakfast area is too small compared to umber if guest accomdations so always struggle to get a table. 1 of the pools is permanently closed.

no where near 5 star hotel
we were stuck here for 2 weeks, hotel staff are not trained to 5 star standard, more 3 star breakfast has lots of selection put all poor quality more what you would get at a budget chain stopover hotel in the uk lots of private functions and weddings here where you will have limited access or none at all while the "vip" guests take priority very noisy at night if there is a function going on which happens a lot good points, room was big, air con works well and comfortable bed but thought we had booked a 5 star resort package which resort rio also known as rio residency falls well short going back to Goa but will be booking a global chain hotel on ebookers next time, there is lots of them in goa we noticed while there to choose from steer well clear of this place is our advice

Terrible uneducated, rude staff.
We were restricted using many facilities due to events like Indian weddings. Staff was very uncooperative. manager was rude. We were over charged. Almost double than regular charges. Terrible, uneducated staff. They cared only for corporate and wedding events and their guests. We were robbed. It was day time robbery. I demand full refund what we paid. I will never recommend this hotel to any body.

Worth Staying Again!!
We planned for the Goa trip again after 4yrs and were confused which hotel to stay. Based on the previous experience we went again with Resort Rio and I must say they didn't disappoint at all. In fact I could recognize most of the staff which speaks a lot about the staff retention and happiness quotient among them. Being a returning customer we were upgraded to bigger room with awesome view as a complementary (thanks Durgesh for the gesture), We really appreciate this gesture. When we thought they were done they surprised us with the welcome cake in the room, talking about hospitality and the care they took. The hotel staff called us everyday to ensure that we were taken care of nicely. Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Ideal if travelling with kids (we had two small ones to mend). Very courteous staff, excellent food and lavish as well as sumptuous breakfast spread. The House keeping staff were very prompt and ensured that they cleaned the mess which our kids enjoyed a lot making. Location wise too this hotel is ideal being close to Baga beach, Tito's lane (most happening place in Goa with all the clubs around) and Calungute beach as well as market. The property is worth staying with excellent swimming pools and lots of in-house amenities. One of the best place to stay near Baga beach and the most happening place in Goa!!

Not a place for off season travel
Though I'm sure the facility is great during season we booked the hotel based on their beautiful pool and multiple restaurants, as we knew fewer local restaurants would be open in off season. We didn't find out until our arrival that only one restaurant was open and they had closed down the larger, prettier pool for the duration of our stay. Though the staff accommodated us as best they could, we felt there should have been a disclaimer about the available facilities when we booked.

This is a comfortable hotel but not four star
This is predominately a conference and wedding venue hotel for locals so tourists take aback seat in terms of service & use of facilities. The rooms are not sound proof hence the noise levels are unbelievable at night when conference and weddings are on (which is most days) which we complained about on numerous occasions with no joy.... Locals who attend these events are also very rude & also seem to resent sharing there hotel with westerners... while we love India we would certainly not return this hotel & believe you should remove it from your list of hotels.

Does not meet 5* expectation!!!!!
Hotel location was good and staff friendly. also breakfast had a wide variety. unfortunately the rooms we booked we not 5* standards. the bedding was stained and linen did not fit properly, the wooden base of the bed was really dusty and dirty. we paid for 3people sharing but the room did not accommodate for it. no hot water on two days, no wifi in room. also the mandatory new years eve gala dinner imposed on us was in bad taste as we already had plans but had to pay this ridiculous price.

Nice hotel, very helpful staff. Food in the pickled mango restaurant wasnt great, as the curries we chose had chicken on the bone (with about 1% chicken on the bones). The manager also told us that this is how it is done in India, however, during our stay, all of the outside restaurants served boneless chicken. Everything was very expensive at the hotel too i.e tuna sandwich 500r, down the road i had fillet steak for 550r.

Meget meget dårlig hotel, lever slet ikke op til en 5 stjerner hotel. Dette hotel må maksimalt have 3 stjerner og gerne renere værelse.

Glossy exterior fails to live up to expectations!
Extremely noisy-breakfast in the Pickled Mango was reminiscent of a school canteen, with clanging trays and noise levels that warranted the use of ear plugs! Noise from guests on the same floor was not dealt with by management, despite one of the many house rules being a request for 'quietness' after 10pm.

Pleasant Hotel
The Gala night was pricey, starters did not come quickly, the music was great and it was good to see the staff dance and enjoy them selves at the end of the party.

Good property, good service, good value for money
Good location, good view Excellent service, friendly staff. Satish from travel desk is very helpful and friendly. Taxi service and rates and good. Areas of improvement: - Breakfast is average - Rooms are large but decor and lighting makes the room dim. Bathtoom is kind of dark and its hard to shave. - Pool is average - Christmas Gala dinner was rip off: food was bad, flimsy chairs, drink is below average. I had handover with only few drinks that has never happened to be with good drinks. Hotel charged Rs 7000 ph but I think they didn't spend more than 3000

Nice Hotel
Eight days including New Years Eve. Responsive, polite, caring approachable staff. All of our concerns, last minute requests, local transportation arrangements and room service were met without delay.

Hotel is very good with excellent facilities.
the Rooms are spacious, well ventilated. The Staff is friendly and courteous Housekeeping was a little slack. they had to be reminded to make up the room and on few days forgot to put toiletries,towels etc. but overall a great experience
