Great location with lots to do nearby and awesome view. It is in a very bustling part of town, so the noise level is high, but if you are okay with that, then this is a great place. Lots of historic charm! Not a cookie cutter hotel like you will find in the harbor.

Clearly, the best part of the property is the location. It is just where you want to be. Other than that, I could not recommend this property. The heating/air conditioning did not work properly. The only way to cool the room was to open the window letting in LOTS of street noise. The room we stayed in was not particularly clean. Stains and cracks on the porcelain in the bathroom, dusty, generally unclean. The property is not well maintained. The window sill was crumbling into rot. The carpeting throughout the hotel clearly needs to be replaced. It is hopelessly stained in places. Doors are held open with random envelopes and pieces of paper. The two luggage trolleys with dirty and I wouldn't want to put my belongings on them. The continental breakfast, which you are charged for whether you want it or not is a bit sparse, and once items run out, like the one pitcher of OJ, they are not replenished. I generally do not complain about places that I stay. But this property is clearly sub-par and I would not recommend a stay here.

It was dirty from the elevator to the rooms. Air conditioning did not work in room. Bed and pillow were the worst. Towels were the type used at a cheap gym. Please don’t waste your money at this unkept place. Staff tried to be accommodating however not much they could do.

This is a great property and in wonderful location. I love that each is named after a local historical figure. There are lots of fun and quirky bars and restaurants around. You’re near the water taxi. You can easily walk to Little Italy or the inner Harbor or the stadium. We love staying here.

This is an old hotel built and decorated in the Federal Style. It’s clean and paint is fresh but it’s a little tired esp the bathroom where my jacuzzi tub had definitely seen much better days. Also drawers missing handles. My bedroom windows wouldn’t open so I couldn’t get rid of the faint stale smell. They did offer to change my room. If you’re fussy about pillows bring your own. These neither fluff nor plump. Old hotels don’t have any soundproofing and there were noisy guests in the hallways both nights and mornings of my stay. There weren’t any signs asking guests to be quiet. Front desk staff are very pleasant but work slowly. Breakfast room felt newly renovated and bright but they ran out of coffee and English muffins. The one waitress was talking on her phone from the time I arrived until 5 mins before I left the breakfast room. My room key lost its magnetic ability twice in a two night stay. Bottom line this hotel is well located and clean.

The rooms are very dated, no small refer, coffee service, microwave. The bed has a frame that makes it painfull to get out of bed. Shower water takes about 10 minutes to get warm. The chair for the desk is broken and stuck in the lowest position. The evening disk person was a very helpful and delightful person fun to talk to.

The hotel was great. Only issue was when I went to eat breakfast they didn't have any eggs which was weird and the attendant wouldn't leave me alone long enough to feel comfortable and just kept staring at me telling me not to eat near the buffet which I was like ok noted. After that they just kept staring at me and wouldn't stop. I was super excited they had breakfast with the room and it was a little disappointing and I just got a bagel and left it was depressing because breakfast is my favorite. Just being honest.

Incredibly polite staff who were very helpful, but the room needed some updating. The toilet ran all night, the TV channels were scrambled, and some of the light fixtures were cracked and didn't work.

Dirty and outdated room
The hotel room was very outdated which would not have been an issue but the cleanliness was non existent. The room had stains and dirt on every surface, the bathroom faucets were in terrible working condition. Hot water was tepid. There were dirty towels and trash under the bed. I would not recommend or ever stay again. It’s a good location but not for the price.

The price is good for being able to walk outside & enjoy the Fells Point Scene. The rooms are nice, not the cleanest but a place to lay your head after a night out. Staff is friendly & helpful. I dont know what a "Full Breakfast" is supposed to be but some donut holes, bagels, & bananas is not what i was expecting. Eggs & sausage wouldve been nice. Honestly not worth the price but worth not getting a dui after a nice night out.

I have stayed here at least a dozen times and have enjoyed it in the past. This was not a great stay, though. The bath water came out brown. There was no bottled water in my room like there usually is - it’s actually part of the extra $10 a day you pay the hotel.. When I asked the front desk for water she said there’s a 7-Eleven down the street if I wanted to go buy some. A day or two later, I checked with a different person at the front desk about no hot water in the shower. She said to give an hour or so. It did get hot later that night, but my shower this morning was just on the cold side of lukewarm. Invigorating. I really like the hotel’s location and character, but I think i just completed my last stay.

Charming historical hotel in a great area! Love Ms.Rose who mans the breakfast area. All the staff are friendly. AC in room didn’t work that well but glad it’s winter and the room was lovely. My fourth time staying there, would have been nice to have that acknowledged.

Thermostat broken and heat blasting!
The heat was blasting in our room and felt like 80 degrees when we arrived (it was January). We turned the thermostat all the way to cool and even fully opened the one window that would open. We then went to our event and it was even hotter when we got back. Clearly the thermostat doesn’t work. The front desk just told us to open the window and there was nothing else they could do cause they didnt have any more fans. Seems like this is a known issue if everyone is wanting fans!! Horrible night’s sleep. When we checked out I told the desk how uncomfortable it was and they just said sorry about that.
