Peaceful and secluded!
Rustic cabin with great views of the river (and the migrating sandhill cranes while we were there). You are right on the river and secluded. Great place to unwind and relax. You're also close to Baraboo, Portage and the Wisconsin Dells.

Cabin in a beautiful setting
Stunning setting on the river where nature abounds! We loved it all except for having only 1 bathroom so . we won't return because of that. Also there should be an option of 2 beds in 1 of the bedrooms to make it really sleep 6. (You're assuming there are 3 couples) Also tell people to bring tp if you're only providing 2 rolls in total.

Peaceful and Rustic
The house is very pretty and rustic. The setting is completely quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous view of the Wisconsin River. The cranes were super active which was fun to watch, and the sunsets and sunrises are stunning! Highly enjoyed our stay!

Eagle's Nest Doesn't Disappoint
The cabin is located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. The large windows allowed us to watch the Cranes and Bald eagles. The cabin was really clean and comfortable. Only issue was it was really cold. We arrived on Thursday - it was 70 degrees outside by Saturday it was 25 and windy. There weren't instructions for winter heat. The owner did quickly respond to a phone call and it turned out the boiler wasn't on. The supplemental heat did keep the temp around 63. Even with this glitch I look forward to staying in this beautiful cabin again.

LOVE this place! It was so peaceful and secluded. Each night we sat on the rivers edge and watched a beautiful sunset! The cabin supplies so many “extras” like chairs around the fire pit, fishing poles and so much more. Lots of space inside and outside the cabin. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful views
The views were beautiful and it was so peaceful. We saw eagles everyday. We never heard any of the neighbors and it was close enough to the Dells to do a little site seeing. The only thing to watch out for were the falling branches in the wind. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. Hope to go back in the fall and see the changing colors.

Nice place nested along the river within min of Cascade Mountain Ski Slopes.
The cabin was great!! Not being able to use the fireplace inside was my only disappointment as that was one of the options the house had at booking time I wanted.

The place was nice. I'll probably go back, but communication with property manager VIA on-line was BAD. I FINALLY figured out who the property management company was, contacted them and was contacted by the manager the day before. I wasn't sure how to get in until I contacted him the day before.

Property was very nice and secluded, close to the Dells. Cabin was nice. The only issue was that the water pressure was very low - showers took a very long time due to the low pressure.

Incredible Location - Amazing Cabin
My wife, young daughter and myself stayed here for three nights and I cannot say enough huh good things about it. We LOVE secluded cabins where you cannot see another house or person, and this was that location. Nestled way back in the woods off a rustic road, and right on the bank of the Wisconsin River, this cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Great fishing in the river. Really nice firepit next to the river to sit and relax by. Huge windows that overlook the river. Only 15 min from downtown Wisconsin Dells. So, so nice. The property contact was super responsive to all communication, and really made us feel at home. This is a “must stay” cabin to anyone looking for a get away in the woods.

Home was very cold on arrival, no heat! Instructions for opening place were non existent. Very isolated location. 3rd bedroom was very distant from others, access to that bedroom was porch only. Welcome basket was a few coffee packets?? The best part is view of river and the friends that shared this space!

Overall chill secluded place.
They place was really nice a clean. The only two problems was there were 2 dead mice in the kitchen garbage can that smelled really bad when we first arrived. And the river moves to fast to swim in which could be Advertised.

Thank you for your review of Eagle's Nest. We apologize for the critters...they clearly snuck in-between our pre-check and your arrival! Sorry that you had to endure that! Yes, the river is too fast for swimming, and that is the reason we do not advertise swimming or docking a boat there.

Beautiful views right on the river!
This house has the most beautiful views. Huge windows overlooking the Wisconsin River. We watched deer on the island across the way and say 3 bald eagles in the tree 15 feet from the windows. A perfect cabin feel and an upgraded kitchen. Is definitely recommend staying here.

Great get-away on the Wisconsin River
Great views, great location near Devil's lake and Wi dells. Mgr was very accessible and home was in good shape and had a ton of character. As others have mentioned there are particular rules/fee outlines - I suppose we live in a CYA world though so nothing out of ordinary. Overall great property for family trip.

Nice place to relax
Nice location and property. Well managed. Five stars overall with some remarks: there is some smell, probably from old wood in the house. It takes a day to get used to it. There is no TV channels, only DVD, so bring some with you. There was a coffeemaker but no filters, so bring coffee filters with you. Fishing gear is very old and of little if any use (we did not use it). But location is nice. We would not mind returning. And one more thing, pay attention to the rules to avoid extra charges, remove linen bedding, fold and place on the bed, wash dishes, take garbage out.

Thank you so much for staying with us! This heirloom home built right on the Wisconsin River has been there quite some time and yes has a rustic smell as the interior is mostly beautiful wood. There is so much to do at this home we have limited to only DVD at this time and encourage guests to bring along their favorites. We do supply two self contained coffee pods in our welcome basket to eliminate the need for filters. We do have a small amount of fishing gear and being on the River we encourage guests to bring along all their goodies. Also we do have a list of check out procedures to follow to avoid extra charges and to keep this amazing property looking good. We do hope you will stay again!

Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time. The charcoal grill is located in the fishing closet. We will be sure to mark that more clearly to be found by future guests.

Stay away from this property. Huge disappointment
Smells old . Carpet in the kitchen. Rarely ventilated houses smells bad. Bathroom ceiling fan is so loud you can not use it. Very outdated place. Beds were supposed to accommodate six people. They are so small than they would accommodate six people if you sleep across the beds. Only 3 people could sleep on beds. Tags with additional charges in every room. Whatever you touch you get charged. We were charged for dirty dishes even we did dishes before leaving They waived charges for not doing beds... Whenever I leave a hotel I do not do bed... It is a part of cleaning service which we paid for but not with this host. I would never come back here again....

Hidden treasure
The place was tucked away and private. Fully stocked and clean home (obviously well managed). Weather permitting, this is a great place for outdoor fun and close enough to indoor activities if you are stuck in the rain (like we were). I would book here again! My only note would be that there are so many “rules” and signs posted around the space it felt overwhelming! Also, the living room furniture could use an upgrade for comfort and functionality.
