Great hotel in great location
Nice hotel in the center of Barcelona at a nice neighborhood. Close to many options for shopping, food and drinks. Very close to metro. Hotel itself was in a very good state and personnel very friendly.

Interior was a bit dated. However, the main problem was the very poor soundproof windows. It sounded like the windows were openened. In a city like Barcelona it results in quite a bit of noice, where you expect to have a quiet, comfortable nigth.

The service is excellent and all staff were very attentive. We upgraded to a junior suite with a "courtyard view". This was a rather poetic way to describe what looked to be a small ventilation shaft, our view was in fact a brick wall. The room was very dark as a result. It did however have a good sized bathroom and a large comfortable bed, and the free mini bar is a nice touch. The breakfast is excellent but is in the basement so no natural light. The rooftop terrace is nice but quite small, there was only one table left when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay but didn't really feel the room was worthy of being called a junior suite.

Very nice hotel, clean, and with a touch of luxury. Rooftop restaurant was great, with nice view. Staff was very helpful and had extra touches such as chocolate and champagne as part of the turn down service.

Room 201 is a large jr suite on 2 levels, just what we needed BUT it is extremely dark with one very small window that faces an air shaft. That was disappointing. Also there is such a strong focus on Colombian decoration that take up so much table space there’s not much room for our stuff. The staff are accommodating and friendly, the toiletries are very nice and the housekeeping crew are just wonderful. The location cannot be beat, quiet but a stone’s throw from Passeig de Grazia. We would happily stay here again, (this was our 2nd visit), but not room 201!

I stay in hotels around the world for monthly travels. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in, (worse than non five-star ones) - Fridge wasn't replenished every day i stayed. On one occasion, it wasn't replenished even after I had reminded them. - When I called front desk, they would put me on hold, then hang me up. Once, I asked if they could help to bring up my food from an Uber delivery. As I was about to give the Uber PIN required in Europe to them (to acknowledge the order), front desk brushed me off, saying he won't remember and will call me later, then hanged up before I had a chance to say anything. Even tho they promised to bring the food up, it sometimes takes a couple more calls to remind them, so much so the delivery time was shorter than them bringing the food up. - Room was not sound proof. I could hear the cleaning ladies every morning loud and clear, and could also hear my neighbours when they were at their bathroom which was near the door. - The gym had minimal equipment for weight training and the steam room did not work. - the whole hotel was dark, both in the day and night. At night, they even switched off the lights at the lobby where guests were to sit. Maybe a two or three-star hotel. Definitely not luxury or five star

Sin duda, el hotel más carismático de Barcelona
Esta ha sido mi cuarta o quinta visita al Claris en cuatro años. Es un hotel que te da todo lo que necesitas e incluso más. La profesionalidad de los empleados desborda por sí misma. Trato excepcional en todos los departamentos. Te hacen sentir como en casa. Excepcional hotel con detalles muy cuidados. Me ofrecieron la junior suite duplex al llegar. Todo tipo de detalles para los huéspedes. Obras de arte por todos los rincones (toque personal de la familia Clos). Para mi, el mejor hotel de Barcelona. Puede ser que no sea el más grande, o el más lujoso (aunque éste es de 5* GL), o el más caro…. pero es que es impagable el servicio ofrecido por sus empleados. Gracias a todos por sentirme como en casa (o incluso mejor que en ella). Volveré muchas más veces.

A wonderful hotel choice. Great location (in close proximity to everything), very clean and friendly staff. Eddie in particular was very helpful.
