'This vacation stay was a celebration for the 70th birthday of one of 6 sisters. We arrived on Memorial Day and left on the following Friday. We did go into Galena every day for part of the day but spent much of our time chatting, making puzzle and watching "chick flicks". It was a great way to spend time with sisters that I love dearly. The sleeping space was great and we appreciated having three separate baths. Would definitely consider a return trip!'

'This place was very nice and cozy. We had a little mix up when we first arrived but the owner and cleaning lady were really nice and great and got things taken care of right away which we appreciated. The trails are super close and we took our dogs on lots of walks. The location was very close to the golf resort if you’re a golfer and just to drive around the scenery was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.'

'My brother who is about 160 pounds sat on a kitchen table chair and it collapsed under him. One leg was broken on the chair. Thank goodness my brother caught himself on the way down. Also the left handle on the porch door is broken and kept falling to the floor. We fixed it best we could but the screw is stripped. The ants are so bad they carried the food away I know this is in the woods but so is our home and we do not have ants'

'The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was exceptionally private. My husband and I stayed four nights, mainly as an opportunity to relax, reset and enjoy each other, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This was the PERFECT setting as it is nestled in a serene landscape of trees, water and nature. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy architecture of the log cabin, and picturesque view of Lake Galena on the large covered deck (that has a hot tub!). The location was close...

'The Aspen House is well stocked and nestled in a lovely patch of land. My kids really enjoyed the outdoor play equipment and we put the fire pit to good use. It rained for part of our stay and the projector was fun for the kids to watch a movie on. My husband enjoyed that a grill was available and since it was on the screen porch, he was able to use it during the rain. Finally, Hailey is a great communicator and quickly responded to any questions I had. Great property!'
